Estepona Beaches
LA GALERA
Location: good access on foot and by car.
Services: Showers, hammocks and newsstands,
parasols bins.
Description: The beach owes its name to a
lookout tower that stands on it called La Torre de la Galera, Torre de los buenas noches or Torre de la Sal. It is quite
tranquil, owed in part to the scarcity of equipment. Diving,
fishing and windsurfing are practiced and can be practiced.
The rocky points are well conserved and it lies relatively
away from estates and buildings.
BAHIA DORADA
Location: It is found beside
Playa de la Galera., it can be reached taking direction Marbella
through the Bahia Dorada Estate, by some stairs.

hammocks and parasol rental, security towers, cleaning services
and payphones.
Description: It is a stretched peaceful well
conserved beach of grey sands and moderate swell. The tone
colour of the water can range from a dark green to a crystal
clear. Laterally there are some rocks protruding from the
water giving it a wild landscape. Despite all this there are
a lot of buildings and estates around and it’s relatively
urbanised. Normally it’s a zone of relaxation and it
attracts a medium crowd in the summer.
ARROYO VAQUERO / GUADALOBÓN
Location: It is found in the Arena beach
Estate, Estepona.
Services: Showers and public utilities, bins,
hammocks and parasol rentals, security towers, cleaning services
and payphones.
Description: It is composed of grey sands
and rounded boulders. Perfect for those moments with yourself
to practice a bit of running or any other beach sports.
COSTA NATURA
Location: Found in the Costa Natura Estate,
which is located between Guadalobón beach Arroyo Vaqueros,
Estepona.
Services: Showers and public utilities, bins,
hammocks and parasol rentals, cleaning services.
Description: The Costa Natura is a nudist
zone of 850 m in length, in fact it was the first of its kind
on the Costa del Sol, which has earned it recognized fame
among all the naturalists in Spain and all of Europe. It has
grey sands and some stones. Ideal to let your hair down, have
a job or just glare at the sea.
EL CRISTO
Location: Along the N-340, to the entrance
of Estepona. Follow the city centre via Avenida Espana until
the sign posts beside Puerto Deportivo de Estepona.
Services: Showers, bins, footbath, two stairs
accesses , changing rooms, , access and changing rooms for
the disabled lifeguards and two exits to the highway.Chiringuitos
with hammocks and water bike services, daily cleaning services,
security team.
Description: It is a tranquil beach in a
wind sheltered cove, which has recently been refurbished with
new stones. The waters are never too cold and always very
clean. The environmental conditions have earned it a blue
flag. There is no rock or stone to be found along the whole
beach. There are shaded areas for those who want to escape
the heat. This beach is very popular with the locals who often
come and set up camp, complete with chairs BBQs etc. Especially
on Sundays they like to spend the whole day with the entire
family.
LA RADA
Location: This is the most
central beach of Estepona, just off its centre.
Services: Counts on all the infrastructures.
Description: The beach of The Rada is famous
in Estepona due to its excellent location, it is flanked on
one side by one of the main streets of Estepona. It
has earned a blue flag this year due to its sanitary conditions.
The three kilometres of beach has a promenade and is landscaped
with numerous palm trees. Also numerous cafes, bars and restaurants
have collected along its length. Due to its length it is almost
never full and finding a spot is easy. The chiringuitos they
sell all the typical delicacies including fresh sardines.
In the weekends they open till the early hours and offer live
music and fiestas.
PUNTA DE LA PLATA

Location: Just outside of Estepona, The access is
easy, it lies between two estates.
Services: Scarce, but will find newsstands
etc .in some sections.
Description: Narrow beach of grey sands and
moderate swell. It attracts a moderate crowd in the summer.
GUADALMANSA / BELLA
Location: By the N 340, to the kilometre
163. From Malaga you arrive to the change of direction at
Park Selwo at KM162, then take the access road to Torre Bermeja
Estate. 
Services: Shower, bins, two exits to the
highway, chiringuitos with hammocks, daily cleaning services.
There is access to a restaurant nearby in the estates.
Description: Beach with many rocks, ideal
for those who want to flee the high season crowds and seek
peace. It is habitual to see people fishing in the spike or
the rocky zones around. It forms a type of cove that offers
an excellent view of all the locality of Estepona and protects
it of the wind in its final part. Due to the construction
of buildings in the zone a walk has been created that finishes
in the sand on the beach. People like to work up a sweat here
before taking a plunge. The waters are always clean and relatively
free of Algae.
EL SALADILLO
Location: N 340 to the kilometre 167. From Malaga
arrives to the change of direction of the ‘Bel Air',
Estate at KM 168
Services: Showers, bins, toilets, Chiringuitos
with hammocks, water bikes playgrounds and cafés. Jet
Ski rentals, Security team and daily cleaning services. There
are two chiringuitos that offer very good service and the
food is of high-quality. The Beach Club Costalita has gardens
on the beach, has a speciality of La Dorada ala sal. Not to
be missed. Pepes offers any kind of typical snack or beverage
of the area at very reasonable prices.
Description: Tranquil beach that extends
along 6 kilometres, to the estuary of the river Guadalmina.
Is one of the largest of the municipality? Its sand is fine
and of grey colour and is always very clean, as well as the
water that lacks algae, stones and/or creams. It is very tranquil
and suitable for the practice of aquatic sports or to take
long walks. The dunes and pine forests separate it of the
adjacent urbanizations and offer zones with shadow, and offer
protection from those summer winds.
EL PADRON
Location: By the N 340 take the exit toward
Estepona descending for the access of the Alcazaba beach estate
or, to the town of Estepona, on the second roundabout of the
Avenida de Espana take a left
Services: Lifeguards, changing rooms, disabled
access and services, showers, health care, bins, two chiringuitos
stands with hammocks, water bikes, and stair access. Security
team and a daily cleaning service.
Description: It is very quite during the
week, but gets crowded in the weekends. There are many shaded
areas where the locals love to come and have their traditional
siesta. The waters are very clean except on windy days when
the algae can become raised and disturbed. It is common to
see people fishing for octopus near the rocks. It has many
private accesses from nearby houses, so it could be considered
a private beach, but it belongs to us all.
