Sierra de Castril. Castril - La Paja. Granada trekking routes
Time: Six hours.

We shall walk on down the course of the river Castril along the bank.

On the way there are more than 30 country- houses, several interesting caves, some important windmills and endless beautiful orchards, so it is a walking tour of great anthropologic and architectural interest.

The lane branches off from Castril, running on near the Pico (peak) de Castril, 942 m. high, round which the town is settled. Walking on to the south towards the river, which can be seen from the outskirts of the town, we shall take a lane which climbs down steeply at first to run on along the river bank.

When reaching the Marcelinos country estate se must look for a junction 2 km. farther which branches off to the rihgt crossing a river to subsequently make its way to La Paja town, situated at the top of a hill 915 m. high.
