Granada information

Sierra Nevada. From Félix Méndez´s ancient shelter, to the Loma (hillock) de Alcazaba. Ascent. Granada trekking routes

Time: Eight hours.

The route is through for the winter season. We shall leave the shelter to go up to the top of Mulhacén. Once on the top, we climb down southwards, and turn softly aside to the left, sometimes along lanes which lead to the Siete Lagunas hill, undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places in Sierra Nevada.

Near the tarns, there is a very small natural shelter with walls to protect you from the wind.

After having passed Siete Lagunas, we must start to climb, first up a rocky ground, and alter up a hill. From here, the top can be seen on the right.
