Palos de la Frontera is a municipality in Huelva which has been very closely linked in history with the discovery of America as it was from the port of this town where Christopher Columbus left for the New World.
History and origin
Palos de la Frontera is of recent origin; the city was founded in the late fourteenth and century reached its plenitude in the late fifteenth century. It is known to be the port from where Columbus left for the discovery of America and thus is part of the route of discovery.

How to get to Palos de la Frontera
From Malaga, take the A-49 road towards Seville to go to Huelva; without abandoning the A-49, take the exit towards Moguer and the Airport San Juan; after passing by Moguer you arrive at Palos de la Frontera.
