Parque Nacional Doñana. El Rocío- La Rocina- El Acebrón. Huelva trekking routes
Time: Five hours or more, depending on the time we want to
spend in the observatories.
We shall leave El Rocío town along the road to Matalascañas
and 1 km. farther to the right, there is the Information Centre
La Rocina, which has an audio- visual room and a lane 2,5
km. long wich leads to La Rocina´s lane and to the Charco
(puddle) de la boca, rich in aquatic birds and a varied flora
such as reed, fern, wild olive trees, etc.
After taking again the asphalted road to the right, 7 km.
farther we shall arrive at the Palacio (palace) del Acebrón
and enjoy some audio-visuals about "Man and the marshes",
a wonderful museum and a lane running on round El Charco del
Acebrón, 1 km. long, with interesting observatories
and a centre for the preservation of aquatic birds.
