Sierra de Segura. Navalcaballo - Ascent to the Yelmo. Jaén trekking routes
Time: Three hours.
We shall leave Navalcaballo towards Santiago de la Espada and a bit farther
there is a crossroads, with a road going to Hornos and another road to Casicas de
Segura and to our right a track starts to descend Yelmo´s peak, 1,809 m. high.
After crossing La Trujala´s brook there is a steep slope which leads
to the area round the summit, where we can accede after leaving the track. From
the top of Yelmo, the most important mountains in the area can be seen.
