Flights from Belfast to MalagaIf you are going to fly from Belfast to Malaga, you must do so from the Belfast airport (BHD), situated by the port, an important operations base for the company Flybe, the biggest operator of flights in the airport. History of the airportIt was previously known as the Airport of the Bay of Belfast, although it is currently known as the Airport of the city of Belfast and there are still people who call it by the legendary football player’s name George Best. The company Bombardier sold the airport in 2003 to a Spanish company, who resold it in 2008 to ABN Amro. In 2008, Ryanair established in the airport offering amongst other routes the existing one to fly from Belfast to London Stansted, the one that Air Berlin had cancelled, although Ryanair finally closed their base there due to the rejection of the plan to enlarge the current runway. The Belfast airport is situated in a densely populated area which is why it has restrictions of hours and commercial operations, this one being one of the reasons why it still cannot be enlarged.
