Malaga Trekking Route

ROUTE: MALAGA- 18

LOCATION: Llanos de Antequera. Round Fuente de Piedra lake.

TIME: Three hours.

DESCRIPTION
The main interest of this route is walking on round Fuente de Piedra lake, the biggest in Andalusia and one of the most important sheltering areas for birds.
We shall leave Fuente de Piedra town northwards in order to walk round the lake along a road wich makes its way to Sierra de Yeguas. At the km.6 there is a junction wich we shall take to the left towards a country houses from where a track branches off.
After having walked on through a marsh track where many reedbed ran be found, we shall reach the Plata country house, with a lake to our left and a reilway to the right. From the Plata country house we shall make our way to Fuente Piedra town.
