The Caves of Nerja Festival

The 50th anniversary of the discovery of the Nerja Caves was celebrated in January 2009. A popular and prestigious event in the region is the Festival of Nerja Caves - Festival de la Cuevas de Nerja, offering a significant historical and cultural tribute. Music, dance and opera with such great artists as Maya Plisetskaya, Rostropovich, Yehudi Menuhin, Joaquín Cortés, Alfredo Kraus and Montserrat Caballé, can be admired at the beginning of every summer.

Commercial and Leisure Zone

The commercial and leisure surroundings make a visit to Nerja Caves even more attractive. Close to the caves tourist can appreciate the shopping centre, children’s park, exhibition centre, bar and restaurant with spacious terrace and its incredible panoramic view of the Bay of Nerja.

Visit:
July and August: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Rest of the year: 10:00 am to 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
