Malaga in December is characterized not only by excellent weather but also by a large number of typical activities related to Christmas season, among which we highlight the spectacular Christmas lights along the coastal municipalities besides Christmas markets and concerts.

Two major events take place on November 28 in Malaga and Fuengirola, with the lighting of the Christmas lights. In Malaga, this event takes place at Plaza de la Constitucion in a massive event and a concert at 7:30 pm.

Lovers of Christmas sweets have an appointment with artisanal pastries of Andalusian convents during the Fair Dulce de Convento. Some recipes are hundreds of years old. There is also a selection of sweets without sugar suitable for diabetics. A divine temptation!

When: December 5 to 9. Timetable from 11 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm.

During the day you can enjoy at Plaza de la Mezquita the most varied Christmas traditions of many foreign residents in the municipality. It´s worth taking a walk around to savour how Christmas is celebrated in other countries!

Activities in Fuengirola

Fuengirola hosts from November 28 to December 16 the Christmas Market which this year takes place in Plaza Constitution and Plaza de España. At Plaza Constitution later on there will be installed a Jaima of the Three Kings by Bioparc.

On Friday December 19 until January 11 opens the Christmas Park at the fairgrounds with two ice rinks for adults and children.

Christmas markets in the province:

Malaga city: During December and until January 5 takes place Christmas market in the Alameda Park where you can find Christmas items, handicrafts and books. This market is open daily until 10 pm.

How to get there:

There are usually as well Christmas markets in Mijas, Marbella, Sabinillas-Manilva, Ronda and Alora.
