The main events are as follows.

Fri 1st. Drag Queen Contest, 9:30 pm, Plaza de la Mezquita.

Sat 2nd. Opening of Carnival, 1 pm, Plaza de la Mezquita.
Carnaval costume competition 5 pm to 6 pm, Jardines del Muro. Benalmádena Pueblo.
Carnaval Parade 6 pm. Benalmadena Pueblo.
Grand Ball de Carnival 7 pm to 10 pm Plaza del Alguacil, Benalmádena Pueblo.

Sun 3rd. Senior Citizens Carnaval 11.30 am, Plaza de la Mezquita.
Election of carnaval Prince and Princess, 1 pm, Plaza de la Mezquita.

Mon 4th to Thur 7th Semifinals Carnival Murgas, 9 pm, Casa de la Cultura, Free entry.

Fri 8th Final Carnaval Murgas, 9 pm, Casa de la Cultura. Ticket €5.

Sat 9th Carnival Costume Competition 5 pm to 6 pm.
Grand Carnival Parade from Tivoli 6 pm.
Grand Carnaval Ball 8 pm to 10:30 pm, Plaza de la Mezquita.

Sun 10th Grand procession and Burning of the Lizard from 12 midday.
Burning on Playa Santa Ana at 1.30 pm.
Entertainment (with bar), from 2 pm, Castillo Bil Bil.

Sunday 3 March: From 12 midday onwards Street parade from Plaza Santo Cristo along Calle Ancha, Plaza Puente Ronda, Calle Remedios, Calle Virgen de los Dolores, Calle Ortis de Molinillo, Plaza General Chinchilla, Plaza de los Naranjos, calle Estación, Plaza la Victoria, calle Pedraza, calle Fortaleza, Plaza África, Calle África, Avenida Ramón y Cajal and ending at Parque de la Alameda.

Followed by a children’s party at Parque de la Alameda.

Saturday 9 March: From 5:30 pm street parade from Parque de la Represa, along Avenida Doctor Maís Viñals, Plaza del Puente Málaga, Avenida Nabeul, Calle Félix Rodriguez de la Fuente, Avenida Ramón y Cajal, Avenida Ricardo Soriano and ending at Plaza Monseñor Rodrigo Bocanegra.

Saturday 16 March: At 12 midday free Mussels tasting for everybody at Parque de la Represa and performances of carnival groups.

Day of the Powders

 

The Carnival of Tolox is one of the oldest known in our province. In this local festival is outstanding the Tuesday of Carnival known as the “Day of the Powders”.
Formerly, the boy, who wanted to get the girl, had to powder it with powders, which at that time were obtained from the lime stones.

Currently, this festival is celebrated at Plaza Alta of the town and through the streets of the old town.

At 4:30 pm departure of the parade from Plaza de la Iglesia. Party at Plaza de las 3 Culturas with Djs.

St. Patricks Day BenalmadenaBenalmadena St. Patricks Day

 

This year there is no excuse for not celebrating St. Patricks Day, as it falls on a Sunday.
The celebration will take place at Plaza de la Mezquita, in Arroyo de la Miel, Benalmadena.

St. Patrick’s Day in Marbella

 

St. Patrick’s Day in Marbella will take place at the Parque de la Constitucion from 12.00 onwards.

There will be Live music, Rock, Blues, Irish & Folk, Face Painting, Magician, Bouncy Castle, Dancing, Beer, Food and lots more.

Argentinian Festival BenalmadenaArgentinian Festival Benalmadena

 

Shows, gastronomy, typical products of Argentina at Plaza de la Mezquita from 1 pm.
