October in Malaga province presents a varied program, comprising two film festivals, a gastronomic festival and a great Fair, not forgetting the particular celebration of Halloween in Andalusian style.
Alora – Perota Soup day
The gastronomic festival of Sopa Perota is a good excuse to do a tour of the beautiful Guadalhorce Valley to this village crowned by a spectacular castle, located about 50 km from Malaga capital.
On this day are given out thousands of servings of this typical local soup, accompanied by local wine, olives from Alora and bread from the wood oven, as well as live music. Festival declared of Tourist Interest.

Fuengirola Rosario Fair
The Rosario Fair, the patron saint of Fuengirola, is one of the most important fairs of Andalusia and is characterized by the prominence of the horse world: Horses of great beauty and magnificent carriages, horsemen and women with classical attires, the elegance of gypsy costumes and traditional Andalusian atmosphere. The fairgrounds are located in the city centre.

Fantastic Film Festival Torremolinos
At the end of October takes places the 4th edition of this cinema festival dedicated to the fantasy genre.
There you can watch some all-time classics such as “Ghostbusters” or “Labyrinth” and also the release of “The Redwood Massacre”.
This year, the festival wants to pay tribute to the legendary film Alien, 35 years since its release.
