Sierra Nevada opens Borreguiles chill out

Sierra Nevada in Granada opened on Saturday its Borreguiles chill out terrace with free invitation to champagne and fruit to the dozens of skiers who took a breather on a sunny day when the winter resort situated 120 km from Malaga and the Costa del Sol reached 50 km of skiing slopes.

Since the ski resort in Sierra Nevada is the southernmost of Europe, visitors can enjoy many sunny days, where the snow contrasts with a deep blue sky. The mild temperatures also invite to enjoy the outdoor terrace for drinks.

The chill out terrace, which this season offers as well a barbecue service, is located at the intermediate station of Sierra Nevada, Borreguiles, at 2675 meters above sea level, with a large area for beginners and skiing slopes for all levels.

The slopes received this weekend a large influx of skiers and snowboarders, encouraged by the incorporation of new ski slopes in the areas of Veleta and Laguna.

Moreover, snow, despite the unusually high temperatures for this time of year, stood up well in all areas, so that during the past weekend there were a total of 50 kilometers of slopes available for visitors to enjoy.
