Los Barrios has direct access to the coast along the Strait of Gibraltar. The municipality’s main beach is urban and family-friendly, while nearby options provide further variety.
The Los Barrios Fair takes place in May on the fairground. It opens with performances on the Paseo de la Constitucion, processions and the switching on of the festive lights. Over the following days there are concerts by the municipal band, a celebratory atmosphere and a bullfight in the arena. The event closes with a spectacular fireworks display.
