The Puerto Deportivo (marina) becomes the vibrant heart of Estepona’s evening scene. Here you will find numerous bars and pubs with sea views that keep a pleasant atmosphere going well into the early hours. Many venues are open all year round, but it is in summer that Estepona really comes to life, with locals and visitors making the most of the warm Mediterranean nights.

If you are staying in Estepona or planning to explore the local nightlife, hiring a car at Malaga Airport is a great idea. The journey takes less than an hour. The Puerto Deportivo has 24-hour parking (some paid and supervised). For the old town, look for spaces near the bullring or public underground car parks. Tip: if you plan to have a drink, leave the car at your hotel and take a taxi back.

Buses connect Estepona with Marbella and Fuengirola, but night services are limited and finish relatively early. There is no direct train service in Estepona. For a safe journey home after a night out, a private transfer remains the most comfortable and recommended option.
The Puerto Deportivo (marina) is by far the liveliest area, with plenty of bars and terraces right by the sea. The old town offers a calmer, more traditional atmosphere with pleasant squares and terraces.
Most pubs and bars in the marina and old town stay open until around 3am or 4am, especially at weekends and during the summer. Some venues may close a little later.
Estepona has venues such as Templo Estepona, Sala Duende and Louie Louie where you can dance and enjoy live music. For large clubs with international DJs, Marbella (especially Puerto Banus) is the best option – only 20-25 minutes away by car.
The town centre and marina are easy to explore on foot. For extra comfort or after having a drink, taxis are plentiful and recommended. A private transfer is the safest and most convenient choice, both from the airport and for your nights out.
