Torre del Mar is around 35 km east of Malaga. The drive from Malaga Airport (AGP) takes approximately 35–45 minutes via the A-7. Here are the best and safest options for your stay.
Pick up your hire car at the airport and drive comfortably to your accommodation in Torre del Mar or anywhere else along the Axarquia coast. Once there, the car gives you complete flexibility to move between the promenade, the town centre and nearby villages. If you plan to drink, leave the car at your hotel and take a taxi back.

Torre del Mar is well connected by bus and the local train (Cercanias). The train is convenient for trips to and from Malaga city or for returning late at night from the stations in Torre del Mar or nearby villages. However, night services are limited, especially after 00:30–01:00. For a late return after a night out, most visitors prefer a taxi or private transfer.
