Volkswagen Golf Automatic
The eighth VW Golf is a segment-leading, sporty and versatile compact car. The automatic version of this popular German car comes with DSG automatic transmission.
It is a comfortable and versatile car for both on-road travel and short journeys where passengers up to 1.90 m find a comfortable front seat, while the rear seats still fit people up to 1.80 m well.
The VW Golf automatic comes standard with a lot of technology on the dashboard, called the Innovation Cockpit, which is operated largely by touchscreen and takes some getting used to.
The Golf is the first car to be networked with the outside world ("Car2X") as standard. Within a radius of 800 metres, it communicates with other vehicles within milliseconds via WLAN and warns of accidents, breakdowns, traffic jams or when an ambulance is approaching. In addition, LED headlights, climate control and keyless start are standard.
The luggage compartment has a volumetric capacity of 374 litres, which can be increased to 1,230 litres thanks to the folding rear seats.
The new VW Golf automatic is our car of choice if you prefer dynamic handling and comfort, technology and safety.
BMW 1 Series Automatic
Like its manual transmission sibling, the BMW 1 Series Automatic is a compact top-of-the-range model for drivers who prefer a sportier drive. The 1 Series automatic is equipped with an eight-speed Steptronic automatic gearbox which is a continuation of the successful GA6HP automatic gearbox, which enables increased torque transmission and at the same time increases efficiency, making it an important component of emission reduction.
Otherwise, this is an excellent car for sporting rather than family use, as cabin space is more limited. The boot capacity is 360 litres as standard.
State-of-the-art technology and safety features befit a car in this class, with the BMW Professional radio and iDrive Controller to operate the menus on the 6.5-inch display integrated into the dashboard. It also comes standard with Bluetooth connectivity and an integrated SIM card that automatically communicates the car with the emergency services in the event of an accident, as well as connected drive, Stop&Go, and a state-of-the-art parking system that allows you to park in the tightest of spaces.
Our choice if we prefer a sportier driving style both in town and on the road and do not travel with a lot of people or luggage.
Toyota C-HR Hybrid
The new Toyota C-HR crossover (C-HR stands for Coupé High Rider) has been slightly revised and is one of Toyota's best-selling models with distinctive styling that gives it dynamism and elegance.
The interior is pleasant with high quality materials and a fairly user-friendly dashboard. It is a sporty and visually appealing car, but not necessarily suitable as a family car, due to the limited space in the rear seats and the very small windows.
The Toyota C-HR comes as standard with the Toyota Safety Sense package, which incorporates pre-collision system, pedestrian recognition, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, intelligent high beam control and traffic sign recognition.
The boot has a volumetric capacity of 358 litres.
It is the car of choice if you like to boast a top-of-the-range crossover that leaves no one indifferent and if you prefer to travel just two people.
