We rented a car in late May-early June for two weeks. The car was almost new (Renault Megane), transfer from and to the airport was fast and convenient, service was super fast, price was very reasonable, I am fully satisfied! Highly recommended!

Extremely unsatisfactory customer service. The only reason I am prepared to give you any rating is that the car provided was reasonably ok. So my story is as follows. My passport and driving licence were not given back to me after they were requested for photocopying at the desk on car collection (Friday 17 Aug 21.30 approx) (my fault partly for not not remembering to ask for them back I accept). On discovering they were missing three days later I contacted you to ask if you had them I was told by the woman that you have a specific place they are kept and that you did not have them. I called another twice after that and was told (very abruptly by same woman) that again you did not have either document and there was no point in calling again. I then contacted my consulate to try to arrange alternative travel documentation for my return home on Friday 24 August. This was very time consuming and required a consular appointment. On the day of the appointment (the next day) I decided to visit Malaga Car in person for a final check. I asked for the manager and explained the reason for my visit. He immediately opened a drawer at desk 4 and there was both my passport and driving licence lying there!. I am absolutely disgusted at the poor level of communication (no phone call to me or communication between staff to double check) I have been put to a major inconvenience unnecessarily and my existing passport (cancelled) has had to be replaced and a temporary travel document paid for at great cost to myself. You will understand that I will not be using again

BAD ASSISTANCE AND NOT REPLYING TO THE EMAILS. DON'T TRUST THEIR POLICY AS, IN CASE OF ANY KIND OF PROBLEM YOU WON'T HAVE ASSISTANCE.(go then for the cheaspest one - there is no difference!) We experienced a strange behaviour with the gasoline indicator as after putting in 10 Euros of gasoline, the indicator did't change; after other 10 Euros, nothing again and at the end after 5 more Euros as per magic, the tank was FULL (from less then half to full in a sec! ). As the policy is HALF TO HALF we explained the problem and asked for the refund and as imagined, the answer was:" we can't now, we check the issue, send us an email." (they weren't very polite while telling us that !). After 20 days no reply yet. WELL DONE, SHAME ON YOU AND ON YOUR FALSE PROFESSIONALISM! NEVER ANYMORE! PS: the car was OPEL CORSA WHITE PLATE NUMBER 6969HYF ---------------------------------- PESSIMA ASSISTENZA, NON RISPONDONO ALLE MAIL. NON DATE RETTA ALLA LORO PUBBLICITA' INGANNEVOLE (nel dubbio, scegliete un'altra compagnia più economica!) Abbiamo noleggiato un'auto ed abbiamo notato uno strano atteggiamento della lancetta del carburante; era meno di metà serbatoio, dopo aver messo 10 Euro la lancetta non si è mossa, dopo altre 10 Euro, niente e dopo altri 5 Euro PIENO! (da meno di metà a pieno in un attimo!). Visto che loro hanno la regola di consegnarvi l'auto con mezzo serbatoio e riceverla con mezzo serbatoio, alla consegna abbiamo spiegato il problema ed abbiamo chiesto il rimborso la risposta è stata:" non possiamo rimborsare ora, dobbiamo controllare il problema, mandateci un email." (ovviamente sono stati piuttosto maleducati nel dircelo!). Oggi dopo 20 giorni ancora nessuna risposta!COMPLIMENTI, VERGOGNATEVI VOI E LA VOSTRA PROFESSIONALITA' MAI PIU' CON VOI! PS: la macchina era una OPEL CORSA BIANCA CON TARGA 6969HYF OCCHIO!!!! ------------------------------------ MUY MALA ASISTENCIA NO CONTESTAN A LOS MAILS. NO CREàIS SUS POLICY, SI VAIS A TENER UN PROBLEMA NO OS PREOCUPèIS, NO VAIS A TENER ASISTENCIA! (os aconsejamos elegir otro rent a car mas barato, total...) Alquilamos un coche y notamos un algo raro en la lanceta de la gasolina: estaba menos de la midad, le echamos 10 Euros y la lanceta seguìa parada, echamos otros 10 Euros,nada no se muviò, echamos otros 5 Euros y como por màgia, pasò de menos de la midad a lleno en seguida! Còmo ellos dicen en sus policy de midad a midad, cuando fuìmos a devolver el coche, comentamos sobre el asunto para pedir que nos devolvieran el dinero, la ùnica respuesta fue:"no podemos devolver nada ahora, tenemos que chequear el problema, escribenos un mail." (fueron ademàs bastante maleducados!). Luego de 20 dìas todavìa no recibimos una respuesta a nuestras dos mails! BIEN HECHO! VERGUENZA VOSOTROS Y VUESTRA PUBLICIDAD POSTIZA Y VUESTRA PROFESIONALIDAD! NUNCA MAS! PS: el coche era un OPEL CORSA BLANCO MATRICULA 6969HYF

As like most people I found it a bit of a mine field renting a car out of Malaga airport, and went for after seeing a few positive reviews. I was glad I booked with them and had no issues at all. Below are a few pointers: - just before you leave the main terminal doors look for their rep (orange t-shirt), they will give you a numbered ticket, this is to secure your place in the queue waiting for the mini bus to take you to their office which is 2 mins ride. This is a new system, and a few people in the mini bus queue didnt have this ticket (like you might get queue for customer service at IKEA). They then had to go back to the terminal to get one. - the mini bus leaves 5 mins walk from the terminal exit. Turn right and follow the pathway through a tunnel, you will see other travellers going the same way. is one of the last pick up points before you emerge from the tunnel. - queued for 15 mins, but dont worry too much because this is just saving you queuing in their office. Basically you have a queue a little bit so its either at the airport or at the office. - at 10am in early June I queued 5 mins in the office. - very quick turn around to get the car with no upselling (as I bought insurance in the UK to remove the excess). - they do half full to empty which is a bit of a con, but use the 'miles left' on the car computer to ensure you dont over fill. They charge you ~€28 for the 1/2 tank of fuel. - 13 days with 1/2 tank was £100 for Megane - not bad I reckon. - Car was pretty new with ~13k on the clock. - There were a few scratches and I got the rep to take photos and he uploaded them for reference to the booking. - On return they looked at the car for 10 seconds and said 'all is ok'; no paperwork was handed back which I thought a bit weird, but they said it wasn't needed. I asked a few other tourists and they didn't get paperwork neither. Anyway, been back a week and nothing surprising on my credit card. - everyone in the queue said this was a great company and they werent wrong. Would recommend and use again.

After reading the reviews on all car hire firms at Malaga Airport, I decided to book with It worked very well. The person in the arrivals hall was a little difficult to find, perhaps she should have a larger and higher board. Once booked in the bus was there in 5 minutes. The check in, whilst not immedaite was very acceptable. As per the terms and conditions we were charged for 1/2 tank of petrol at a reasonable price for return empty. The Kia car was fine for 4 people and 4 small cases. On return a driver took us to the airport in our car. Overall a very good experience with no problems reported on other car hire firms

Re: French air controllers likely to strike 3, 4, 5 June I rang Malagacar on 31 May, they were very helpful. IF planes are delayed and arrive after midnight, Malagacar will keep their office open provided the flight number is known to them, and add a surcharge of €35. Their office is normally closed at midnight. Malagacar checks the flight status, that's how they know to keep open longer, in he small hours of the morning. They recommend to phone in if one is concerned.

We always check the flight numbers and wait for our clients, at any time of the day / night. Our office remains open until the last clients have arrived, whatever the time may be. For late night arrivals from 11 pm there is a surcharge of 35 €.

I have dealt with three times and every time has been perfect. Their office is not in the underground floor of the terminal which is always full of people with long queues. It is just 300 metres away with a courtesy bus ride or you could walk if you wished. The service is absolutely excellent and the cars are perfect. On one occasion we needed 2 baby chairs and they had a large selection to choose and then they attached them immediately. I would never use anyone else.

Have used about 12 times in 18 months. Overall an excellent service with friendly staff and competitive prices. The numbering system to board the bus is good but some drivers allow passengers to board out of turn which is frustrating.

I have been using for car rentals for more than 10 years on an average of 4 times per year. They are excellent, reasonable price, friendly staff, a good quality fleet. I've never had a problem with them except for on 1 occasion where my Flight was late on arrival and had to pay an additional 34.00 for out of hours service. I would give them 9.5 out of 10 for service & value. Highly recommended.

We hired 4 cars for our walking group and were very impressed, the price was excellent, cars a bit older than some firms but very reliable and the firm were not as fussy as some companies when you return them. One small broken light was only charged at a very modest sum. They were well under half the cost of other firms we've used, pretty fast pick up service and also return. We certainly recommend them and most definitely will use them next year :):)

I recently rented with (2 adults and 2 babies) and had the following issues; (1) I arrived at the airport and the lady at the airport explained the vague outline of where to go for the shuttle bus. Arrived only to see the shuttle bus pull off just as we arrived. Surely there can be better coordinating between these functions? Had to wait for the next shuttle bus with no idea as to how long it would take. (2) I had booked 2 child seats for the rental car. The car was handed over in the middle of the road where I had to load my luggage, prams etc, and also install 2 baby car seats. Could not believe that the car seat were not pre-installed and it took me an age to get them in (lot different that the ones I'm used to). In the mean time we were obstructed only car rental owners and we put under huge pressure to get everything loaded and babies secured (drenched in sweat) and without a single bit of help for the car company. The car should not have been handed over to use in the middle of the road knowing we have a lot of luggage, 2 babies and 2 car seat all to get loaded. Horrible customer service. (3) When eventually we were in the car I spend an age trying to change the sat navigation system from Spanish to English. You would think that this would have been completed already (like other rental companies automatically do) that the sat nav should be set up up in English for us. When I ran back in to the company to have this sorted it was impossible to find someone available or willing to help. When at last I had to interrupt someone they told me to hang on and would get someone to look at it. Customer service is a big problem here. (4) The sat navigation system turned out to be out of date and on many occasion we were directed to road that no longer existed or directed to roads that were incorrect. In addition it does not recognize addressees that are known to be correct. I do a lot of traveling with my job and have never encountered such a poor level of service with other rental companies. Also, please update your sat navs on a regular basis.

We have been holidaying on the Costa del Sol for 14 years and book at least 3 times a year and always use your company. No other company comes close to the service and quality of cars you provide. Only once have we had a problem and it was rectified immediately. I always recommend Malagacar to all our friends and family when visiting and they too are equally impressed. Well done See you soon.

Have just returned from a weeks break in Malaga and made the choice to rent our car from Malagacars who are without doubt the most honest and professional hire company I have ever dealt with all the the staff are very friendly and make you feel at ease from picking up your car to dropping it off could not have gone smoother everything they say on there advertisement is true we rented using the full package something I would recommend and will use in the future well done Malagacars look forward to seeing you all many times in the future

Why do you need to introduce a bronze, silver, gold, platinum, vip, super vip systems into a hereto well functioning and respected car rental company that is doing so well? I was so disappointed the last time (March) I came in to your office to see all the distinctive areas for "special customers". Let's keep hold of the old fashioned ideas of service for all, and leave the "Snob Class" out of it. After all they should be able to have a chauffer waiting for them at the terminal. Since 2012, I must have rented a car for about 7 times with Malagacar. I never have experienced any problem with them. The bus shuttle is very convenient, and when returning the car, they take you back to the airport quite fast (with bus or your rental car). I never had to wait more than maximum 10 minutes to get my car and return is even faster. The cars are recent, mostly clean and in good working order. Sometimes you even get a free upgrade.. ;) ;) Important as well: Unless other companies at Malaga Airport, you are charged with additional fuel costs. (Once I rented a car at R..ordc.. in Malaga Airport, and I can guarantee you: once and never more! I got charged approx for an extra 25€ just to fill up the car!) At Malagacar you just pay for a half tank, and you can bring it back empty. So, no complaints at all, no remarks at all? Yes, only one remark concerning that half tank system. No one (with some common sense) will bring back the car with a complete empty tank, taking the risk to have a break down going back to the airport. So they are always on the winners side at Malagacar. But I prefer to "offer" Malagacar that small fuel amount than to get ripped off by having to pay "fuel charges" plus the fuel itself. Otherwise: All perfect. In a couple of weeks I have a new car rental in Malaga. Guess at what company I did my reservation again... You are Right ;) Why change a winning team?
