The main arrivals and departures terminal T3 at Malaga airport was inaugurated in March 2010 and is located next to the old T2 with both terminals directly connected. The suburban train station is entirely oriented to the new T3 and is part of the transportation hub at the Airport Plaza and thus the access to the T3 is very easy and fast.

Malaga Airport is located about 6km west of the Malaga city, just off the main Coast Road (N-340) and the new toll road AP-7, which runs to Estepona. If you are leaving the airport by car, keep in mind that the left lane of N-340 leads to Malaga, Granada, Motril, Nerja and the eastern Costa del Sol, whereas the right lane leads to Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella, Estepona, Sotogrande, Gibraltar, Cadiz, and all other places in western Costa del Sol.
