Mijas extends from the interior in Mijas Pueblo, to the coast in La Cala de Mijas. It has a wide variety of fairs and annual events that you can attend, so if you are thinking of visiting Mijas and do not know when to come, we hope that with our help you can decide.

Remember that in each fair there is a children's day during which the attractions are half price, although they also have a shorter duration.
As it could not be otherwise we are going to begin this guide with the Mijas Fair. It takes place in Mijas Pueblo during the first fortnight of September and during this period you will find numerous activities for all tastes, from live concerts to mechanical attractions.
The Fair begins with the lighting of the lights the night before, after which it is inaugurated. You will find fast food stalls and places to sample the gastronomy of the region. There are also flamenco shows, contests and concerts.
After the first night of the fair, the Day Fair opens in the Jardines de la Muralla. There will be more performances and also activities for children from 17:00 hours.
The duration of the fair is 5 days not counting the first opening night. It is a recommended event if you find yourself in Mijas at the beginning of September.
When: Beginning of September
The Feria de Las Lagunas takes place between the end of June and the beginning of July. It is an event recommended for all ages and will be enjoyed by adults and children alike.
Children will undoubtedly be attracted by the large number of mechanical attractions and activities that take place both during the night and daytime fair. Adults will enjoy a rich gastronomic offer, stalls, attractions designed for them and live shows.
The night fair takes place at the fairgrounds while the day fair starts at 13:00 hours usually at Cortijo Don Elías.
When: End of June and beginning of July.
La Cala de Mijas Fair starts at the end of July and ends at the beginning of August. It is another recommended event that you should not miss if you are in Mijas during these dates.
The opening of the fairground takes place at 10:30 p.m. on the first night of the fair, while the Day Fair opens at 2:00 p.m. the next day.
In other editions a free Paella day has been offered at 14:30 hours on the opening day of the Day Fair, something to take into account if you want to visit it. As in the other fairs, there will also be events, activities and live performances every day and every night at the Caseta Municipal.
