A genuine review, initial booking, staff at the airport and the office were excellent, no delay on the transfer, yes a queue at the office but within 20 minutes in a lovely new car and on our way, the return was 2 minutes, great service all round well done.

I am afraid that this didn't work for me. No problem with the mini bus to the office. It was very hot indeed and there was really only outside to wait. The car did not turn out to be anything like new but a 51000km Peugeot 308 (they had nothing else) which frankly should have been de-fleeted a long time previous. No remote locking, a pretty dreadful noise from under the bonnet and a totally non cleaned interior. The member of staff just got out of the car and said "here" and I got in and after struggling with luggage did exactly that. I have used Drivalia before at Malaga and it has been first rate every time but they are no longer there. I was not well for a couple of days but then emailed the company who did respond but it was really too late by then. We had intended to drive to Tarifa port and get a ferry to Morocco as a foot passenger for a day trip but as I had such little confidence in the car we decided to go by a coach tour instead. Im really trying not to be awkward or impolite but it just didn't work for me and I am unhappy at their response.

Thanks for your email. You collected the car on August 30th but you sent us an email on September 3rd and not before. You said you were not happy with the car. You sent the email at 19:13 and at 20:49 my colleagues informed about. At 21:54 I emailed the office and I wrote: “Contact the customer right away and change the car”. At 22:20 my colleague Jose Antonio called but no answer so he sent you an email. You replied near 05.00 on day after and you said you were unhappy with the service.
If we had known that you were not happy with the car, we would have changed before. Anyway the car is now rented and I have just called the customer who is happy. It’s running properly.

Be careful of Malagacar. I paid double what I thought it would cost as I was misinformed when collecting the car of the extra costs. When you arrive after a long flight, in 40 degrees heat, a long queue of customers and you know you have a long drive ahead of you, it's easy to fall into the trap of not checking things properly. I took the reps word that some charges would be refundable only to find that they charged me for a load of extras. Check your contract before you go is my advice and get a full print off of all the costs. Oh and don't try to contact them to complain as they don't accept any blame!

Thanks for your comment. Customer service is paramount to us and I am sorry you think you were misinformed. I can see you booked the car in April so the prices for insurance, additional driver and booster seat were different. I list the balance in a private mail to you and the amount you will get refunded.
I can see you sent us emails on September 6th and the same day we replied you. You say the price for baby seat was included in the price but I am sorry to tell you this is not correct.

Arrived at Malaga Airport on 11 Aug & was directed to the pick up area to wait (a matter of minutes) for mini bus. Two minute transfer to the office, 10 mins at the desk with very cheerful lady, got the keys and on our way, no more than 20 mins I would say. No hanging around, no trying to add on extras. Dropped off on return, credit card refunded, and transferred to departures all within 10 mins. Brilliant service, will be booking again, thanks.
