Quelle désillusion pour ne pas dire arnaque... Après plusieurs années de location de véhicules chez Malagacar sans soucis.... On nous a forcé/obligé, cette année, à payer l'assurance complémentaire à presque 300 €. On nous a refusé le paiement de la caution avec nos 2 cartes Visa dont une Visa Premiers et une MasterCard sous prétexte que ce sont des cartes de débit et pas de crédit, incompréhensible, c'est bien la première fois qu'on nous sort une telle absurdité. Mais trop tard pour pouvoir se retourner et louer ailleurs, étant au pied du mur, nous nous sommes résigné à payer. Par contre pour payer la location et l'assurance complémentaire pas de problème comme par hasard... De plus à aucun moment il nous a été demandé de composé notre code pour les cartes. Nous tenons à rappeler que les années précédentes il n'y a jamais eu ce genre de problèmes et que les cartes Visa utilisées à l'époque étaient les mêmes. Concernant les voitures louées, l’accueil, la dépose du véhicule à toute heure, les transferts entre l'aéroport et Malagacar, nous n'avons jamais eu de soucis d'où la note montée à deux étoiles au lieu d'une. Mais ce dernier incident, 300€ de moins dans le budget vacances non prévu, nous fera surement louer ailleurs l'année prochaine. Damien Gonzalez / Maude Bertrand

Nous sommes désolés de ne pas avoir été satisfaits cette année de la location de la voiture mais, s'il vous plaît, étudiez la situation car elle n’est pas comme vous l’indiquez. Vous deviez accepter l’assurance à tout risque car vos cartes de débit / crédit n’avaient pas de fonds suffisants ou qu’elles bloquaient le montant à payer / déposer.
Par conséquent, nous avons prouvé que notre intention était de vous aider.

This was my 5th time hiring a car at Malaga Airport and my fourth time with malagacar.com. This time I booked an automatic, a first for me. The transfer was efficient, I was taken immediately when I entered the office and within ten minutes I was brought my car. No hassle, no pressure selling of insurance and the comfort pack was excellent value. The car was simply superb and I drove more this year than ever before as a result. The return was straight forward with absolutely no fuss. Like my brother I tried goldcar last year and although the basic price was very low there are hidden costs no matter how thorough you think you are. I've hired cars many times in Malaga Airport from several companies and Malagacar(my 5th. time with them) is simply the best. The young woman that served me was really helpful and really nice and when i returned the car she was again really helpful. There was no pressure to take the full insurance which is great. I took the Comfort Pack (half full tank bring back half full) which means you only pay for the online price and you get an extra driver and full roadside assistance included, so its up to you how much fuel you use. I got a Renault Megane (latest model) and it was spotless inside and out.To my detriment i used goldcar last year (2017) because i got got a really good online price initially, but, by the time i got to the desk i got charged for a full tank of full (which i was supposed to get a refund for unused fuel which i did not), charged for fueling the car and charged for using a credit card (which you have to use). To me Malagacar is transparent and there is no hidden charges and deliver exactly what they say. I have booked for next year already.

We have used Malaga Car Hire for many years visiting the Costa Del Sol 3 to 4 times per year. We have always received excellent service which is why we continue to both use Malaga Car Hire as well as recommend to family and friends.
This excellent customer service was highlighted this week when a "boot open" warning light appeared on the dashboard. The boot wasn't open BUT the car thought it was and therefore we were unable to lock the car. We contacted Malaga Car hire to highlight the issue and they delivered to us in our village (some 50 minutes away from Malaga airport) a replacement car within 3 hours from us contacting them with the problem. That is what I call excellent customer service.

I give 5 stars. My husband and I have hired time and time again. Never had any problem whatsoever, in fact, always been over the moon. Really friendly staff and the easiest people in the world to do business with. I really don't like going anywhere else, and when I have to (because I'm a skinflint and only want a small car - and sometime they aren't available at very short notice), I see the difference. Why deal with a big company that doesn't care about you when you can deal with Malaga car???

After a stressful day yesterday booking to many cars for the same day by not receiving any confirmation for any of them. Then checking my junk mail only to find out that I had booked 6/7 cars tried ringing all numbers I could find and emailed to let them know (thought that I was going to be charged for all of them)but got a nice email back.
