Bioparc Fuengirola
Bioparc Fuengirola is one of the most impressive and modern zoos on the Costa del Sol. Located right in the heart of Fuengirola, just a short walk from the Mediterranean Sea, it offers a completely different zoo experience known as "zoo immersion". Instead of traditional cages, visitors walk through large, beautifully recreated natural habitats where the animals live in conditions as close as possible to the wild.
Taking advantage of the mild climate and lush subtropical vegetation of the Costa del Sol, the park recreates ecosystems from Madagascar, Equatorial Africa and Southeast Asia with remarkable realism. Highlights include lemurs, impressive Komodo dragons over three metres long, and giant Galapagos tortoises that can weigh up to 350 kg.

Bioparc Fuengirola is divided into several large geographic zones:

- Equatorial Africa – with gorillas, chimpanzees and pygmy hippos
- Indo-Pacific and Southeast Asia – featuring Komodo dragons, tigers and colourful birds

Activities and Facilities
In addition to observing the animals, Bioparc offers free guided tours throughout the day. In summer, the park stays open later into the evening, allowing visitors to enjoy the magical atmosphere of the illuminated tropical forest. There is a large children's play area and two restaurants with terraces serving burgers, pizzas, ice cream and other snacks.
How to Get to Bioparc Fuengirola
Bioparc is very centrally located in Fuengirola, only about 700 metres from the train station and bus station, making it easy to reach by both public transport and car.
Car hire – the most flexible option
If you have a hire car, simply take the A-7 motorway and exit at junction 208 (Fuengirola). The park is well signposted and centrally located. Having your own vehicle allows you to easily combine your visit with the beach, the harbour or the Castle of Sohail.
