It’s the festivity of the Virgin of Carmen, the municipality’s patroness, which takes place in the Los Boliches district where the locals parade a religious female figure upon their shoulders voluntarily and carry her into the sea.
During the celebration of this event, there are fireworks and a large crowd gather at the beach at night.
Similar to many other fairs in Andalusia the Fuengirola Fair is held at the fairgrounds during the second week of October. At this event crowds of people come to eat, drink and dance. The fair also has a large number of amusement rides and attractions, ideal for family fun.
