I have just returned home after a three week holiday with one of Malagacar.com’s cars, I can honestly say that after many years visiting Spain and using various rental companies from Malaga airport this one is by far the best. The car we had was almost new, we decided to opt for the full insurance package for peace of mind and even after adding the extra cost to the rental it was still a lot cheaper than any we have used before.
We pre-booked the car online and after arriving at the airport we were picked up in their minibus for the very short drive to their premises, upon arrival the whole procedure was very quick, we were in the car within minutes, all of the staff are very polite and chatty!
Dropping the car off was much the same, we chose the full to full fuel policy and after checking that we had re-fuelled we were shown to the minibus for our return to the airport, I didn’t even see anyone checking the condition of the car.
We have had some bad experiences with certain rental companies at the airport, but just wish we had know about these guys years ago. I do know that I will be using them in the future and look forward to our next holiday without the headache of wondering if we will be ripped off. Definitely a five star company!!!

I had been using Goldcar for 10 years, I knew they were ruthless and had seen the insurance hard sell at the counter to countless people but I knew the routine. They hiked credit card cover from £2.5k to £7.5k if you refused their extortionate insurance effectively enforcing it to everyone but the VERY creditworthy. Then they refused to issue credits to travellers who had to cancel because of Lockdown 2. That was it for me. I switched to MalagaCar in 2020 and have used them on at least a dozen occasions since that time. Being offsite from the airport isn't the issue you think it's going to be with efficient minibus runs that take only a few minutes. They've never try any of the cheap grifts as Goldcar and other do, such as Full/Empty fuel policy where you're charged a huge sum for a full tank and on a car that will go 400 miles with it and have to bring it back empty on a 3 day hire. Staff are more often than not friendly and helpful and far better with English than I am at Spanish and tolerate my attempts to practise. Thouroughly recommended.

We booked our car rental , we’re given a free upgrade on arrival, always book the full pack and it’s always hassle free when you return the car, this time we had to return the car a week early, unexpectedly we were told we would get a refund for the week not used, and true to their word two weeks later it was in our account that we payed the original contract on, would def recommend malagacar.com to anyone wishing to rent a car 5 stars from us .

I’ve used your company for nearly 20 years without a problem as we have a holiday home in Nerja but wish to complain as have asked several times for a refund on Agreement no 212140554 as we had to return home several days earlier then planned as unfortunately my father in law passed away the day after we got home but so far have had no refund on our credit card and no communication from you despite sending emails and submitting tickets. Could someone please help and let me know.

With so many positive reviews, there is sometimes a "negative outlier". Unfortunately, I was affected by this. When I booked online, I received the wrong data twice in the confirmation. Due to a large crowd (1/2 hour waiting time) and the corresponding hectic on a Saturday, no individual car handover took place: "The one in the back. 
The next day, on closer inspection, I discovered that I had received an accident car (!) with considerable damage. It was then exchanged for a car with a lower category. After the holiday, I discovered that the higher category had still been charged. I received no response to three letters. So I cannot give any "star" at all.
