The experience with Malagacar was a very pleasant one. At the pick-up of the car we stood in the queue because it was crowded, but the handover took a minute instead (they only looked at the fuel level in the tank). Very nice staff. Prices are ok for full insurance. If I would come to Costa del Sol again, I would also rent from them. Thanks Malagacar!

I received the car with less than half a tank of petrol. I was told it would not be a problem as I had the ‘full pack’ and would not be charged if I returned with the same level. I returned the car with a half tank but was still charged €45. I emailed to ask for this to be refunded but had no reply.

I rented two cars for my family and was very satisfied with the service. All staff members were friendly and helpful. Due to a personal reason we had to return the cars earlier than planned, and received proportional refund. Thank you !

My sister-in-law recommended MalagaCar to us being as she lived in Malaga for many years and I thought local knowledge would be the best way to go. All in all the experience was positive. However, I would say that it’s a little odd how MalagaCar pick you up in a multi seater van with trailer from the airport and drive you to the car hire centre, not the end of the world but if you have small children this can be an additional journey you may find frustrating. Also, we experienced a very busy time with customers queuing out of the door once we arrived at the hire centre. A lot of MalagaCar staff milling about with only 1 or 2 serving, again not the end of the world but if you have small children this may be annoying.
Hire car was fine we ended up with a Lynx & Co SUV which did the job. We also hired a child seat with ISOFIX which we had to install ourselves, don’t get me wrong the seat worked fine and we went away with family who helped with our 11 month old daughter while we fitted the seat, again if it was just mum, dad and baby with bags as well fitting an unfamiliar seat in a car we didn’t know would have been extra stress. Having said that now we’ve used MalagaCar I’ll certainly use them again I guess it’s a case of go with what you know. 3 stars is fair considering our experience.

Hi team I have been yoi customer for thr last six months. I have a really bad experience with you guys yesterday. When I came to extent my car - I was told to wait for 15 mins . The car would be washed and I can it. I was running late. I requested to get it cleaned and I would collect it in couple of hours. I came back after few hours - the old contract was closed and a new contract was made. Ofcourse I don’t carry passport and driving license all the time. I didn’t know it would be a new contract. I gaved my copy of driving license. The supervisor threw a shit fit. And he doesn’t understand properly. I told him I got my Id stolen in Spain so I don’t carry it. And he shouldn’t be creating a fuss about the Id. As I came for extension and I have a record with you. And I didn’t ask for a new contact. He refused to help. This morning on Sunday I visited again with the documents and he refuse to give me thr car. This is ridiculous. I have a long standing history with your company. And I have been a loyal customer and being treated like this is not accepted

Would put no stars if possible. Used malagacar for over 7 year and everything was fine until this year. Our car was towed the day before we had our flight back to Canada, from a public parking because of a market that we were unaware but take full responsibility. We contacted the police and they said we would need to come to station to pay the fine on Monday, our flight was on previous Sunday, so impossible to do.took taxi to malagacar and explained situation and told them we would pay fine and expense, they charged us over 500 euro and did not give us break down of charges when we asked and I requested that they pack my belongings that were in car and give me size and weight and I would supply a pre-paid shipping lable, they have not replied and have stopped communication with us. We have told all our friends to not use them anymore.

A really great experience. We were picked up at the airport by shuttle bus within 5 minutes of landing, paper work at the office took 5 minutes. Car was nearly new and very clean. Return was the easiest I have ever known, within 3 minutes of driving through the door all the checks were done and we were directed to a waiting shuttle bus. I would recommend taking the full pack as it is very reasonably priced and very comprehensive. Highly recommended company, I will not use any others from now on. Thank you very much malagacar.com.
