Very bad experience at Malaga Car. A customer for several years, but things are not improving. I arrived at the place on the day of vehicle pickup and chose an automatic car from the BMW, Mercedes, or Volkswagen T-Roc category, but ended up with a Taigo from a lower category and paid the same price. When I asked to change the vehicle, they told me there was no availability. I've been getting the same model, a 2019-2020 Series 1, for 3 years. It's a mockery of the customer. The worst part of this whole story is that I sent more than 5 emails and never received a response. The car was rented for 7 days. One day before the contract ended, I went to Malaga Car Airport to extend it for two more days and change the vehicle, but they refused the change. 2 days passed, and I returned the vehicle to the agency with no issues, a full tank, and a clean interior and exterior. But they blocked me and told me I had to pay €40 to return the vehicle at 19:00, even though my contract was still valid until midnight, as it was the start of another day. I didn't agree to this because they were taking money from me unfairly. In summary, I want to emphasize that I'm a customer of Malaga Car, but their service is not professional, especially the young employees they place at the counter without respect or professionalism. I sent several emails and made phone calls, but never received a response.
 

Have been renting with Malagacar now for almost 10 years We rent 4 times a year and have always had first class service and quality cars. The whole experience is efficient and speedy. I recommend their use to all my friends.

I apologise that I have to send 18 emails to you regarding this matter I now have evidence of initial charge for the additional driver of my friends bank account ! So not only have you as a company 1. Delayed the refund of 1200 euros since the return of the hire car on 21.09.23 2. Charged myself and my friend the same amount for the additional driver Of 72 euro - fraudulently deducting this from the 1200 euro deposit without any communication with myself despite my frequent requests that you seem to feel are “ unreasonable “ 3. The fuel charge you provide me with no evifdt but again deduct this from the 1200 euro deposit I provided evidence the car was not full on collection. So attatched again 1. Fuel gage on collection 2. 72 euro charge by my friend to Malagacar I await your response and refund of the deductions made on the 1200 deposit This has take much of my time Caused total unnecessary stress and I am now involving my Spanish solicitor on this matter

Very poor performance of the department for working with orders via the website: 1st request - there is no such car, 2nd request - there is currently no selected category of cars, 3rd request - what cars are available at all? - there is nothing for the period you selected. The correspondence lasted 2.5 days. Do not recommend your service.

I hired a car from malagacar. Our arrival with them was a very unpleasant experience: our suitcases were lost on the road between the airport and the agency. The driver had closed the rear trailer incorrectly. He went back and returned our suitcases, which were damaged in the fall. Despite our emails and complaints, no discount or commercial gesture was made. The rest of the holiday went well, and we had no problems with the car. But the reception was cold and they gave us the keys in a hurry without any apology....!!!!

I have returned my car to Malagacar on 21.09.23 I have photograph of the fuel gage on collection and the condition of the car on collection I am still awaiting the 1200 euros that was deducted from my credit card on arrival I have emailed several times - no response I have telephoned many times no response I have filled out many of the contact forms no response When will I receive the 1200 euro

I hired a car as a regular customer of Malaga Car I returned the car on 21.09.23 5 days have now passed since the car was accepted back in excellent order back to Malaga Car I have emailed many times as to why i have not had my 1200 euros deposit refunded back

Excellent Friendly Service, Great Affordable Car Choice, Honest and Simple Speedy Collection and Drop off - (Straightforward Insurance Included and NO upgrade hassle) Will Definitely use again.

We have been customers of Malagacar.com for about 20 years and have used them numerous times over those years. Until a few years ago, the service was tremendous, and we recommended the company to many people. For the last few times however, I would say the service has got worse each time, culminating in our last visit in mid Sept 2023. This time the queues at the airport for the bus were longer than ever, to be followed by another lengthy wait at the office to collect the car. When we eventually got it, we had to wait about another ten minutes as cars were completely gridlocked trying to manoeuvre inside the compound. The prices are still good and the staff are great, but clearly don't have the time they used to to show you to your car, point out any dents/scratches or even pack cases on the bus for you - none of these latter points were that important to us, but clearly a sign that the company is now far too busy to deal with demand (at peak times at least). We would be reluctant to use other companies, but when a friend on the same flight had arrived at his accommodation in La Herradura before we had even picked up our car, we may be forced to think again.

Extremely long queue to get to the office. Long waiting to get the car!
