Map and Road Access to Malaga Airport

On this map you can see exactly where Malaga Airport is located and the best routes from towns in the west and east of the Costa del Sol.

From the western Costa del Sol take the Autovía del Mediterráneo (A-7 / AP-7) towards Torremolinos. Stay in the two right-hand lanes at the junction for MA-20 / MA-21. If you want to return your hire car to MalagaCar.com as quickly as possible, remain on the MA-21 for a couple more kilometres and take the exit towards Avenida Velázquez. If you prefer to go straight to the departure terminal, stay on the MA-20 and use the new southern access road to Malaga Airport.

From the eastern Costa del Sol follow the A-7 around Malaga and take the MA-20 exit towards Torremolinos / Airport. You can either stay on the MA-20 (direct to the departure terminal via the new MA-23 link – careful, sharp bend!) or switch to the MA-21 towards Torremolinos / Avenida Velázquez. The latter route is usually slightly quicker and brings you closer to our office in the airport industrial estate.

How to Get to Malaga Airport

Whether you have just landed or need to reach our car hire office in the airport industrial estate, here are the most comfortable and practical options. Our office is at Avenida del Comandante García Morato 34, only a few minutes from the terminals and well signposted.

Car Hire – the most flexible option

Upon arrival at Malaga Airport by plane, outside the arrivals terminal you will find the Malagacar minibus waiting to take you for free directly to your car. In less than 15 minutes you will have your rental car delivered and ready to go. When returning it, please follow the instructions on this map: via the MA-21 towards Avenida Velazquez you will reach our office in a few minutes, without the need to enter the terminal.

Other Transport Options

In addition to car hire and private transfers, Malaga Airport offers excellent public transport connections. The express bus goes to central Malaga, while other bus lines and the local train (line C1) connect to many destinations on the Costa del Sol, including Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola.
