I have been renting a car at Malaga airport for over 20 years and Malagacar is by far the best and has good prices. They never charge extra fees like many others and they do not charge fees afterwards. Regards Riccardo

We’ve used Malagacar for years and they have always been friendly and helpful. The check in procedure is now self service so queueing is a little longer than usual but the staff are on hand to help. It is very quick if you are a returning customer and if you have the full pack insurance you just drop the car back and leave the keys in the ignition, so very simple. They were really helpful when I left my purse in the car and brought it up to the airport for me which was brilliant - thank you Malagacar!

We have been renting vehicles from MalagaCar several times a year since 2014; the company has grown and evolved, and we have never been disappointed. No time is wasted walking around the vehicle at either pickup or drop-off. The only slight downside upon arrival is that the staff aren't always easy to spot, as there are so many people crowding around. Keep up the good work.

Unfortunately the fuel tank was not full when I received the car! I was quite busy and tired the day I received the car so I didn't complain about it! The tank was three quarters full!

Thank you for your feedback.
We would like to clarify that our fuel policy is clearly explained on our website, before booking, in the booking confirmation and also in the rental agreement. 
Our policy is not “full to full”, but “same to same”, as stated here.
This means that the vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as it had at the time of collection.
Therefore, if the car was delivered with three quarters of a tank, it only needed to be returned with three quarters of a tank. It was not necessary to return it full.
If there is ever any discrepancy or doubt about the fuel level when collecting the vehicle, this should always be reported to our staff before leaving the office, so it can be checked and noted immediately.
For this reason, the fuel level should not have caused any disadvantage, provided the vehicle was returned with the same amount of fuel.

Could be by far the lead and best car rental company in the area IF they could only sort out the ridiculously slow key collection part. Everything else is great BUT every time you have to wait over an hour in the office to collect the car keys - crazy!!!

We fully understand your point. The key collection process is an area we are continuously working to improve, especially at peak arrival times, as we know this is one of the most important parts of the customer experience. 
That said, we have checked the times for your booking. According to our records, you arrived at the airport meeting point at 20:25 and the rental agreement was signed at 21:08. Taking into account the transfer time from the airport to our office, which is usually around 15 minutes, the waiting time at the office was approximately 28 minutes. 
This was not over one hour, although we agree it was still longer than we would have liked. We are sorry for that and we appreciate your comments, as they help us keep improving our procedures. 
We are pleased to hear that everything else was great, and we hope to offer you a faster collection experience on your next rental.

First car we had engine knocking badly… no oil in it. Second hire car had no power as the exhaust was blowing so bad. And engine management light on.

Regarding the vehicle returned yesterday, this was a Seat Ibiza with an 80 HP naturally aspirated petrol engine.
This type of engine has a different driving response compared with turbocharged engines or vehicles with higher engine output. It is designed to deliver smooth and efficient performance under normal driving conditions, but its acceleration and engine sound can feel different, especially during certain driving situations such as uphill roads, higher revs or when the vehicle is loaded.
This is a normal characteristic of this engine type and does not mean that the vehicle was not suitable for rental use. 
We regret that the driving experience was not as expected on this occasion, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your comments with us.
