Very bad experience at Malaga Car. A customer for several years, but things are not improving. I arrived at the place on the day of vehicle pickup and chose an automatic car from the BMW, Mercedes, or Volkswagen T-Roc category, but ended up with a Taigo from a lower category and paid the same price. When I asked to change the vehicle, they told me there was no availability. I've been getting the same model, a 2019-2020 Series 1, for 3 years. It's a mockery of the customer. The worst part of this whole story is that I sent more than 5 emails and never received a response. The car was rented for 7 days. One day before the contract ended, I went to Malaga Car Airport to extend it for two more days and change the vehicle, but they refused the change. 2 days passed, and I returned the vehicle to the agency with no issues, a full tank, and a clean interior and exterior. But they blocked me and told me I had to pay €40 to return the vehicle at 19:00, even though my contract was still valid until midnight, as it was the start of another day. I didn't agree to this because they were taking money from me unfairly. In summary, I want to emphasize that I'm a customer of Malaga Car, but their service is not professional, especially the young employees they place at the counter without respect or professionalism. I sent several emails and made phone calls, but never received a response.

Have been renting with Malagacar now for almost 10 years We rent 4 times a year and have always had first class service and quality cars. The whole experience is efficient and speedy. I recommend their use to all my friends.

I hired a car from malagacar. Our arrival with them was a very unpleasant experience: our suitcases were lost on the road between the airport and the agency. The driver had closed the rear trailer incorrectly. He went back and returned our suitcases, which were damaged in the fall. Despite our emails and complaints, no discount or commercial gesture was made. The rest of the holiday went well, and we had no problems with the car. But the reception was cold and they gave us the keys in a hurry without any apology....!!!!

We have been customers of Malagacar.com for about 20 years and have used them numerous times over those years. Until a few years ago, the service was tremendous, and we recommended the company to many people. For the last few times however, I would say the service has got worse each time, culminating in our last visit in mid Sept 2023. This time the queues at the airport for the bus were longer than ever, to be followed by another lengthy wait at the office to collect the car. When we eventually got it, we had to wait about another ten minutes as cars were completely gridlocked trying to manoeuvre inside the compound. The prices are still good and the staff are great, but clearly don't have the time they used to to show you to your car, point out any dents/scratches or even pack cases on the bus for you - none of these latter points were that important to us, but clearly a sign that the company is now far too busy to deal with demand (at peak times at least). We would be reluctant to use other companies, but when a friend on the same flight had arrived at his accommodation in La Herradura before we had even picked up our car, we may be forced to think again.

Disappointed to have to contact you regarding disappointing service. Pick up service in terminal was very good. Arrived at depot to collect car. Car we were allocated was filthy. Car was subsequently cleaned which added a delay. Left depot and when we reached motorway discovered exhaust was defective in car and the steering wheel was pulling to the left. Returned to depot and alternative car was given. Very disappointed overall as we always (for many many years) have booked cars with MalagaCar and had no difficulties

Very reasonable price for a car rental. However, we did encounter difficulties that made our entire experience not a 5-star one. For the complete coverage plan that I had - I expected at least a proper customer service. The first car we got had a little technical problem; the steering wheel made a squeaking sound every time you would turn it even a little bit. It was so annoying it made it impossible to drive for 5 minutes; it was unimaginable to do it for the long-distance drives I needed the car for. We came back to the malagar.com office, and we were met by an incredibly rude employee who immediately diminished our concerns. She kept telling us that the car was okay and that she doesn't care that it made that sound. After that, she kept pushing us aside. We were persistent, so she told us to talk to the manager. Unsurprisingly, he was also busy. Thankfully, another employee took charge of the situation and offered us a new car immediately after we told her the complaint. As she was trying to find a car available, the previously said employee started hysterically yelling at her in front of us about how she shouldn't change the car, not because it's against the rules but because she thinks so. Extremely unprofessional! It just goes to show how the employees are the face of the company and can ruin their entire reputation and the customer experience! If someone doesn't want to deal with customers, they should find a different job. Especially if you purchase a complete package, you expect better customer service! Thankfully, the new car was great and had no other problems. The return was also very smooth and easy. Finally, a shout out to Rosa, who was kind enough to listen to us and help us. You need more employees like her.
