I've been hiring cars for my holidays in the Costa Del Sol for the past 6 years. I've searched and searched and found plenty of what appear to be better deals that is until you read the small print. Exorbitant fuel prices, insurance excesses and roadside assitance charges for instance soon bang the price up. It's all up front with Malagacar. Last year I was given a virtually brand new Seat Ibiza. Previous vehicles have all been more than satisfactory. One year I did have to buy a litre of oil just to top the engine up after a particularly long motorway drive. I was reimbursed for the cost of the oil wihout hassle or question. I don't bother checking around anymore. In fact I'm just about to go straight to Malagacar to book another car for my holiday in June this year. Thank you.

For a few years now I have been renting a car from Malagacar, I think I will continue to do so, they have good service and reasonable prices, although it is true that the extra insurance that covers everything has gone up a lot.

Excellent service. Used 4 times this year. Fast, efficient service, good rates and no waiting around in a dingy & hot basement for hours like at the airport.

No check-in, no check-out was done about the state of the car. The car was old and dirty. No signature at the restitution of the car.

For many years, we use Malagacar to rent a car. They are very correct, good service, never problems with a car, the picking up, etc . We can recommend this company, if you go for a rental car.

Good morning, I have rented 4 times with malagacar (1 of them in my wife's name), until now reasonably happy, and I see that this year they have raised prices a lot, there is no longer any appreciable advantage over other companies. To begin with, the car I was going to rent at Easter I no longer take because for how little I use it, paying 400 euros where before it was half is no longer worth it. And it is not worth it because with malagacar with the full package they have always given me cars with bumps or small problems, with the excuse that it does not matter because you do not have to look at it when you return it. But at the same price as the competition when I rent with others, I will not give names, the car is new and spotless. For the summer I will investigate options, but paying almost 600 for two weeks when before it cost me just over 300 does not seem logical to me. Inflation is fine, but this rise is brutal. Thank you for your comment although I do not think that the issue of prices should be a reason for you to "stop being" reasonably happy. We understand that you, as a customer, should choose the offer that best suits you although we cannot understand why you say that it is not worth it when both the 2 Renault Megane and the last car which was a Skoda Fabia (Free upgrade) had no mishap. The fact that they have some small scratches (which does not mean small problems) is not a reason to be dissatisfied and telling you that it is not a problem to have some small scratches is not an excuse but a way to speed up the service because it would be totally wrong on our part if you enjoy all-risk insurance coverage and still have to examine the car on each rental. In fact, our maximum is customer service guaranteeing always delivery in the shortest possible time.  
In any case, we will always be happy to help and if what you want is to talk about prices, the way to do it is by email and not through this medium because as a regular customer you can benefit from some type of discount.

I use Malagacar on all my trips to Spain I think they are very helpful any problems get sorted the cars are of very good quaility would recommend to anyone wanting stress free carhire. I hire for long period so can only say how pleased I have been.

For attention Alberto I wish to apologise to Alberto and Malagacar for any misunderstanding caused by my calculations in relation to C1 and D2 car rentals. I did pay for a C1 car during September and received a Toyota Auris Diesel This is classed as High Season. For my next proposed booking of 45 days in April /May next during Mid Season the rate for C1 car is approx 35 per cent higher than last September. I have been offered a 5 per cent reduction which does not make much difference to the overall amount. Regards Repeat Long Term Renter John Mc Namara
