Can they just take money out of ŷour account without your knowledge ? I am very very disapointed , is this legal what they have done ??? We had an excellent experience with malagacar.com and highly recommend them. They were courteous, helpful, spoke excellent English and provided a clean, reliable, and reasonably-priced rental vehicle for our stay. Looking forward to booking with malagacar.com again in 2019! Hi there, I was really looking forward to renting a car from Malagacar after reading lots of positive reviews but after going back and forth with one of your representatives on the Whatsapp messaging service - who simple refused to answer a valid questions I had about roadside assistance, I am now looking at taking my business elsewhere. I asked a simple question regarding taking out the basic package without roadside assistance. My question was: What happens if there is a mechanical or electrical fault with the car and the car breaks down? Their response: if you need road assistance, and you have book basic rate, any assistance needed is paid by the customer. Not exactly what I asked! I asked the question again and got the same response. Surely the person hiring the car can not be charged a fee (for example 75 Euros to tow the car up to 25km) if it is a Mechanical or Electrical fault. Surely it is Malagacar's responsibility to provide a car fit for purpose and if the car breaks down due to no fault of the person who has rented it, then surely there should be no cost to the client. I asked for a copy of your Terms & Conditions which I was provided with but it does not state anywhere in them anything about mechanical or electrical failure. The representative then replied with the following: about your question, if the car need to be replaced, the client have to come at our office for the replacement car. My response to this was: So what would happen to the broken down car if it was not drivable - would you recover it at zero cost to the rental client if it was a mechanical or electrical fault? Malagacar representatives response was: assistance only is cover by malagacar if you book comfort or full pack rate. This sounds to me like you are scaring people to take out roadside assistance. According to most car hire agreements it is a car hire company's legal responsibility to provide a car fit for purpose - one that works. Should the car break down due to a mechanical fault or electrical fault and it is no fault of the person who rented the car, then it is the car hire company's (malagacar.com) responsibility to supply the client with another car (as your representative stated above in one of their responses). But this does not make anything clear! What I can gather from the responses I received are as follows: If I were to hire a car from malagacar without roadside assistance and the car broke down 25km away from your offices or anywhere else for that matter - due to no fault of my own. I would have to make my own way back to your office/headquarters (possibly by taxi) to get a replacement car. Could I therefore leave the broken down car wherever it broke down and malagacar would go collect it - is this right? I am very interested in you response to this as I believe this is a very important matter to which many people renting cars from Malagacar would like to know. It would also be nice to be able to see a copy of the 'Rental Agreement Contract' on the website. Kindest Regards Terry.

It was very bad, they are not friendly, they charged me all the extra costs, at first I thought I could rent a car cheaply but in the end it turned out to be a trick

Dear Customer
The car was returned yesterday in terrible cleaning conditions and without fuel so you have been charged for it. This is what we have just explained to you by phone and yesterday when the car was returned.

Recently completed my 4th rental with MalagaCar.com and as usual the service was excellent. Our car had a mark on the front from a previous renter, and this was correctly covered on the documentation, and caused no issues. Minibus service to depot on takes about 2 minutes, and we were served straight away when we arrived - probably 10 minutes from arriving at the location to being on the road. Car drop off / minibus return to the airport was equally smooth. Good cars, reasonable prices and good service from a friendly team. Will be using them again. Steve June 2018

We used Malagacar for the first time this summer and was pleasantly surprised with the speed and the ease of the service. The car supplied was as booked, and in "good shape" Information at the airport, shuttlebus to pick-up place, admin (pick-up and delivery)... everything went smoothly. Will use the company again if I need a car in this area.

What a nightmare never again. My partner and myself had to wait in a long queue for at least 10 minutes in the heat for the mini bus to pick us up from the airport. Once we got to your office. My partner along with many many other people had to queue up outside for at least 45 minutes in the heat before they even reached the door. I am disabled and had to stand with parents with young children and elderly outside with the luggage whilst my partner had to wait in line. This was not how we envisaged spending the start of our holiday. I'm sure for a reputable company you could and should be able to handle being busy.

im sorry, but the first few times booked with you went really smoothley, but the last time we booked we had an issue with a mini bus we had, the petrol gauge didnt work so we could never know how much was in there, but had no help from you, which we accpted without any arguements and just put it down to a one off. in my last booking though for the 2nd of august this year, i have the booking confirmation email, but am now being told that i have no booking and to rebook, but the cost is nearly a £1000 more. i do have the booking number and confirmation email, that was sent to my email address, but malagacar says it has no booking under my email (and its not showing on my account online) its getting very stressfull
