A very bad experience. Upon arrival, we had to wait nearly 30 minutes before we could even start the paperwork. A second driver could not be added on-site, so we had to arrange it via email instead. The child seat we had reserved was unavailable. After another wait, we were given a seat, but it was broken and impossible to install. We had to wait about another 30 minutes to get a replacement. As I have a disability, I asked for help installing the seat, but my request was refused. The vehicle was also very dirty, and during the rental period, we encountered issues with tire pressure and warning lights regarding the tail/brake lights. When we reported these problems, we were told the staff was understaffed and that we needed to contact management by email. We submitted a detailed complaint but received no response. It was a series of issues and, above all, a total lack of regard for the customer. I absolutely do not recommend MalagaCar.

We loved that all was arranged so well. The carwindows where very dirty at the pick up and that's something important to look at in the future.

I highly recommend them—fast, efficient, professional, and hassle-free. The airport transfers—both upon arrival and for the return trip after the holiday—were excellent and quick. We landed at 1 a.m., yet everything went smoothly; the attendant was waiting for us by the wall-mounted terminal, and the rental process was quick, so we could head off on our vacation right away.

Hello., The last car I rented from you was not as good as previous one. Back door was not able to be opened from the inside of the car. There is also bad smell of sweat in the saloon of the car when I took the car from you... I think time by time the chemical cleaning in the car might be in order. Gracias, Rustam

Hi. I have been using Malagacar rental regularly for about three years. I have always been satisfied.

I have been booking with MalagaCar for about 6 years, mostly 4-6 bookings per year. In general the cars are ok, but this and last year I experienced more and more that cars are not properly maintained/serviced. Often I get cars with warning lights on. Or like the one in May when I got a car with clutch problems. When I inform MalagaCar they tell me this is only an information but nothing to worry about. I do not agree on this. There is a reason when a warning light comes up. Also mostly the front windows are not cleaned well. Means with the sun it is very hard to see. What annoys me every time is their fuel policy. Very often I get cars with fuel 3/8 which means I have to return it with 3/8. It is impossible to fill the tank to 3/8 before returning it back at the airport. Which means I fill up more to be on the safe side. So MalagaCar every time profits from my filling of fuel. Why are they not able to hand out the cars with a full tank and the customer can return it with a full tank. This would be much for honest than what they do now. We will be back in September and I truly hope that we get a well serviced car with no warning lights coming up and with a full tank. I would appreciate to hear your opinion about my remarks.

Excellent service, have used them for quite a few years, wouldn’t think of using another car hire service.

I rent every year from malagacar since 2023 for one month from 4/7/2026 till 2/8/2026. But last experience I received the car unclean and need service showing in the dash and tire, needed to add air, without driver car mat

I have used Malagacar a few times now, and I highly recommend them. Easy to book, staff helpful.

Uncomplicated – helpful – smooth process – would gladly use again!
