I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the treatment I received at your location on 31st July at around 10:00 PM. Upon return of the vehicle, I was wrongly charged for exceeding the kilometer limit, even though my booking clearly stated unlimited mileage. At pickup, your staff explained the fuel policy, but no mention was made of any mileage restrictions — despite the rental period being 49 days, which clearly implies long-distance travel. This feels misleading and intentionally deceptive. When I tried to clarify the charges, I was met with rude and unprofessional behavior from a blonde staff member with large ear piercings. Instead of providing assistance, she was confrontational and dismissive. Shockingly, the manager on duty refused to engage, actively avoiding us rather than helping resolve the issue. I briefly stepped outside to top up my Euro account in order to pay the charge, and upon returning, I was told I was no longer allowed to pay, and that I was now banned from MálagaCar, with no valid explanation. This again came from the same rude employee, who continued her unprofessional behavior by telling me to leave the premises. This is not my first rental with MalagaCar — in the past I have driven well over 3,000 km per rental and never encountered such treatment or incorrect charges. I respectfully request the following: A full review of the charges, and a refund if they are indeed inconsistent with the unlimited mileage policy A formal apology for the behavior of the staff and the unacceptable handling by the manager Confirmation that I am not blocked from future rentals, as this would be completely unjustified This experience was extremely upsetting and disappointing, especially from a company I previously trusted. I hope you will treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves and respond promptly.

While our terms and conditions clearly specify that vehicles hired for extended periods may be subject to a mandatory mileage inspection or vehicle exchange — even under our unlimited mileage policy — we acknowledge that this condition may not have been clearly communicated to you in person at the time of pickup.
 
As a one-time, exceptional gesture, and despite the terms having been applied correctly, we have decided to waive the penalty charge for exceeding the mileage threshold. This exception is granted due to your past history with us and in the interest of maintaining a positive relationship.
 
That said, we would like to kindly remind you that for future rentals, if the mileage reaches a certain level during the rental period, we will require you to either exchange the vehicle or bring it in for inspection. This is essential for safety and maintenance purposes, and failure to do so may lead to charges being applied.
 
We regret that your interaction with our staff did not meet your expectations. We have forwarded your comments internally and will take the appropriate measures to address the situation. Please rest assured that you are not blocked from future rentals and you are welcome to rent with us again.

I rented a car recently during my summer vacation in Spain. It was a very smooth experience. I was given Seat Ibiza, which was clean, well maintained, low mileage, comfortable and with excellent AC (something you really need during the hot summer days in Spain). The car had great fuel efficiency both on highways and city roads. The interior was clean, modern with Bluetooth connectivity. Pick up was practical, quick, efficient and professional. The staff was friendly and kind. The return process was quick and a hassle-free. Quick inspection and I was on my way to the airport with the transportation provided by the agency. Excellent service! Highly appreciated. The rental cost was reasonable and there were no hidden fees. Transparent pricing, quick service, friendly and very helpful staff. I’ll definitely rent from Malagacar.com again and I recommend the Seat Ibiza for anyone looking for an amazing and reliable rental. Due to car defect (no cooling water) we were not able to be on time at the airport for our flight back home. We had to book another flight back to Amsterdam. Malaga car refused to pay the flight cost. We had full insurance on or rental car. So very poor respons after many times car rental.

That said, we would like to clarify that the vehicle in question did not present any known defect prior to the incident. What occurred was an unforeseen mechanical failure — something that, while regrettable, can happen with any vehicle, regardless of maintenance and condition.
 
Our roadside assistance service was activated as quickly as possible once the incident was reported. We understand that, depending on how much time one allows before a flight, such events can have significant consequences, and we truly regret this outcome.
 
With regard to the cost of the missed flight, please understand that while your rental included full insurance cover for the vehicle itself, this does not extend to cover independently booked flights or travel arrangements. Airlines usually offer optional insurance that covers such situations, and we strongly recommend customers to consider that when booking.

I would like to give you five stars for your efficient customer service in Malaga and the website with excellent booking conditions. So why only two stars? Because in the last months we have hired a car thru you on 5-6 occasions. On two of these occasions we got a car with poor/non-functioning clutch making it very difficult and dangerous to drive. This is not ok. Yes, I changed the car at the airport again but honestly, would it not be better if your cars where fully serviced and functioning so that customers do not have to go back and forth to the airport several times? So for now, I am not using your otherwise excellent services again.

If we ever detect that a vehicle might present a fault or isn’t performing as it should, we are the first to remove it from circulation. We never rent out cars knowingly in poor or unsafe condition.
