I’ve been using Malagacar for around 10 years & always had good service & reasonable quality cars. However, on this occasion, the car was old, noisy & lacked any performance. On returning the car we then had to wait around 30 mins for a transfer to the airport. As a frequent customer I found this a very disappointing experience.

Our experience was satisfactory. There was hardly any wait to pick up the car. It performed flawlessly throughout the rental period, and both the vehicle handover and the return trip to the airport were extremely quick. Excellent value for money: no deposit or security bond required, and comprehensive insurance included at a very competitive price.

On 16th May I paid for the rental of 2 SEAT cars using my Visa card. Both cars were used to convey 8 people to a Villa near Los Marines via Velez-Malaga. We travelled in convoy. The car I was driving developed a fault with the clutch as we were about 5km from our destination. In over 60yrs of driving experience I have never experienced a burnt out clutch. You arranged a pick up and we collected a replacement car on Monday 18th May. From then on everything went well. On checking my bank statement after the holiday, I see that my account was charged with 1200euros. I did not authorise this payment. There was clearly a fault with the clutch before we collected the original car. Please rectify this situation by refunding the 1200euro payment. My bank is aware of this issue and expects your cooperation before the need to escalate the claim further. I look forward to hearing your thoughts within the next week. Yours faithfully Alan Wharton

Only 2 people working on saturday 30 may evening in the malagacar office. Had to wait 45 minutes in line. Not ok

Great car. I with my family enjoyed the car, when se come to malaga again we'll surely come to malagacar again

Reservé un coche con MalagaCar.com con recogida indicada claramente en la reserva como Málaga Renfe / María Zambrano. En el bono de confirmación figuraban fecha, hora y lugar de recogida, además de instrucciones específicas para la recogida en la estación. Como llegaba a Málaga la víspera y quería recoger el coche a primera hora del día siguiente, contacté con atención al cliente para confirmar exactamente dónde debía presentarme, ya que tenía que estar en mi destino a una hora concreta y quería evitar imprevistos. La respuesta fue poco coherente con la reserva: me indicaron que no tienen oficina física en la estación y que el servicio desde María Zambrano solo se ofrece a clientes que llegan en tren desde otra ciudad. Es decir, aunque mi reserva indicaba Málaga Renfe, en la práctica me decían que debía desplazarme a la oficina del aeropuerto. Lo peor no fue solo la falta de claridad, sino el trato recibido por teléfono (EMILIO). La atención fue soberbia, poco resolutiva y nada orientada a ayudar. En lugar de aclarar una duda razonable sobre una reserva confirmada, la conversación generó más incertidumbre. Finalmente, la empresa canceló mi reserva (a petición mía) ya que no me ofrecían alternativa de recogida porque llegaba la vispera, dejándome sin el vehículo que tenía previsto para mi viaje. Mi experiencia ha sido muy negativa: información poco clara, condiciones confusas, mala atención al cliente y cancelación de la reserva. No recomendaría esta empresa si necesitas seguridad y claridad en la recogida del vehículo.

Hello Malagacar, I am a very happy client of you and rent a car on a regular base. So also for June I need a rental car fur 25 days. I was wondering do you have a special rate for regular for regular customers? Regards Ben Bunt

Our ninth trip to Malaga and beyond .all ways use malaga car hire . very easy.book .arrive and drive . very friendly helpful staff . vehicles all ways spot on for our needs . never had a problem. highly recommended these guys .

5 Star Rental Company. Use this company 6 times a year and for the past 7/8 years. Helpful staff, good prices and options. Lovely nearly new Ford Puma on this trip, very clean throughout. Would highly recommend this company

Had to wait for over 50 mins on our arrival for mini bus pickup even though we had paid extra €30 extra for late night arrival. Must have been over 50 people waiting . . Very slow when getting car - eventually two extra people joined the only operator after a further 20 min wait. Standard of the car not the usual - lots of bumps and scratches . No water in the car washers . I have been using Malagacar for the past five years and found them great . The last two occasions have been not great. Shame standards have dropped.
