Super experience with Malagacar.com. Always a bit hesitant to rent a car, I made a video  around the car before we left, photo of mileage, but afterwards proved unnecessary. €1000 reservation as deposit was also just neatly withdrawn a day later, so reliable company, definitely recommended.

Easy to book and pick up the car. Transfer to the garage and back was great. The only thing was that I have been picking the car up in the night and haven’t noticed that I have been given a dirty car. Like very dirty. Rubbish in the the door pockets. Lots of sand . Sticky, dusty etc. Haven’t noticed it till the next day in the sun light and was shocked . Another thing was old windscreen wipers, when I have used them I wasn’t able to see anything. I Had to go back the following day and ask for a change. Also have mentioned that I have been given a very dirty car. That obviously wasn’t cleaned after the previous customer. Lady only said that she will mention it on my booking… which hasn’t make any difference 12 days in the dirty car with 6 month old baby wasn’t best experience. I suggest you to Check well your car before you leave the car park

The experience with Malagacar was a very pleasant one. At the pick-up of the car we stood in the queue because it was crowded, but the handover took a minute instead (they only looked at the fuel level in the tank). Very nice staff. Prices are ok for full insurance. If I would come to Costa del Sol again, I would also rent from them. Thanks Malagacar!

I rented two cars for my family and was very satisfied with the service. All staff members were friendly and helpful. Due to a personal reason we had to return the cars earlier than planned, and received proportional refund. Thank you !

My sister-in-law recommended MalagaCar to us being as she lived in Malaga for many years and I thought local knowledge would be the best way to go. All in all the experience was positive. However, I would say that it’s a little odd how MalagaCar pick you up in a multi seater van with trailer from the airport and drive you to the car hire centre, not the end of the world but if you have small children this can be an additional journey you may find frustrating. Also, we experienced a very busy time with customers queuing out of the door once we arrived at the hire centre. A lot of MalagaCar staff milling about with only 1 or 2 serving, again not the end of the world but if you have small children this may be annoying.
Hire car was fine we ended up with a Lynx & Co SUV which did the job. We also hired a child seat with ISOFIX which we had to install ourselves, don’t get me wrong the seat worked fine and we went away with family who helped with our 11 month old daughter while we fitted the seat, again if it was just mum, dad and baby with bags as well fitting an unfamiliar seat in a car we didn’t know would have been extra stress. Having said that now we’ve used MalagaCar I’ll certainly use them again I guess it’s a case of go with what you know. 3 stars is fair considering our experience.

Would put no stars if possible. Used malagacar for over 7 year and everything was fine until this year. Our car was towed the day before we had our flight back to Canada, from a public parking because of a market that we were unaware but take full responsibility. We contacted the police and they said we would need to come to station to pay the fine on Monday, our flight was on previous Sunday, so impossible to do.took taxi to malagacar and explained situation and told them we would pay fine and expense, they charged us over 500 euro and did not give us break down of charges when we asked and I requested that they pack my belongings that were in car and give me size and weight and I would supply a pre-paid shipping lable, they have not replied and have stopped communication with us. We have told all our friends to not use them anymore.

A really great experience. We were picked up at the airport by shuttle bus within 5 minutes of landing, paper work at the office took 5 minutes. Car was nearly new and very clean. Return was the easiest I have ever known, within 3 minutes of driving through the door all the checks were done and we were directed to a waiting shuttle bus. I would recommend taking the full pack as it is very reasonably priced and very comprehensive. Highly recommended company, I will not use any others from now on. Thank you very much malagacar.com.

never again! There were only two counters open out of ten. When I asked if someone could help me with the car seat for my child, there was no help or anything. This used to be a great address! Or staff shortages or cutbacks? No idea, but this is not a service.
