A fantastic experience with Malagacar. We were travelling with two small children. Communication beforehand was excellent, so we could arrive with peace of mind, knowing everything would go smoothly. We received a WhatsApp message the day before to confirm the booking. The instructions for the shuttle were great, and a friendly staff member was right there to meet us. The shuttle ride was very quick (approx. 2 minutes). The service on-site was wonderful—super friendly and efficient; the staff member entered everything into the computer, spoke German, and was understanding about the children. The vehicle was perfectly fine (the floor mats were a bit dirty, but otherwise it was in top condition). Returning the car was also very fast: we parked and unloaded, a staff member quickly checked the fuel level and noted the mileage, and that was it. Because we booked the full-service package, everything was truly included—no upselling or anything like that. It was a really great experience, and I’m already looking forward to my next trip.

Perfect service. We were very satisfied both when picking up and returning the car. Picked up from the airport by minibus and taken to the car rental office. Fast. Absolutely hassle-free. We received the car clean. I definitely recommend it.

Perfektní služba. Byli jsme velmi spokojení jak při vyzvednutí, tak při vrácení vozu. Z letiště vyzvednutí minibusem a odvoz k autopůjčovně. Rychlé. Naprosto bezproblémové. Auto jsme dostali uklizené. Rozhodně doporučuji.

I had a fantastic experience renting the car. Everything was very simple, and the car I was given ran perfectly. I would rent from them again without hesitation next time.

Disappointed with the poor service on this occasion, having been using malagacar.com for over 10 years. Despite having completed my details online twice, which supposedly was to speed up the collection process, I had to stand in a queue for 40 minutes and wait to get processed. There was a bank of machines which looked like they were for checking in but when I asked staff told me they didn’t work well. The inside of the car was dirty, the middle seat belt was broken, but the issue was resolved while we waited. Really loud noise off the car like it needed a new exhaust, just a poor standard which is not what we have been used to and why we had been using Malagacar.com every year.

The self-service machines you saw form part of a new system that is still in its testing phase, which is why they were not fully available during your visit.
We also apologise for the condition of the vehicle’s interior and for the issue with the middle seat belt. Both matters should have been detected before the vehicle was delivered, although we are pleased that the seat belt issue was resolved before your departure.
Regarding the engine noise, the SEAT Ibiza provided was fitted with the 80 HP engine, which has a noticeably louder and more characteristic sound, particularly under acceleration. This is normal for this version and was not caused by a fault with the exhaust system.
Your comments regarding the cleaning and vehicle checks have been passed to the relevant departments. After more than ten years of loyalty, we fully understand your disappointment and hope that your next rental will once again reflect the service you have come to expect from MalagaCar.com.

I have been renting a car at Malaga airport for over 20 years and Malagacar is by far the best and has good prices. They never charge extra fees like many others and they do not charge fees afterwards. Regards Riccardo

We’ve used Malagacar for years and they have always been friendly and helpful. The check in procedure is now self service so queueing is a little longer than usual but the staff are on hand to help. It is very quick if you are a returning customer and if you have the full pack insurance you just drop the car back and leave the keys in the ignition, so very simple. They were really helpful when I left my purse in the car and brought it up to the airport for me which was brilliant - thank you Malagacar!
