Do you enjoy outdoor activities without having to drive far from the Costa del Sol? Discover Mijas Park, a new green space perfect for spending the day just over 4 km from the beach.
Here we present this enormous urban park and everything you can do and enjoy there.
The largest urban park in Andalusia

With this multi-million euro project and 270,000 square metres, this urban park located in the municipality of Mijas is home to more than 2,900 trees and 20,000 plants.
This huge park has created a much-needed green space on the Costa del Sol, which was needed amidst the massive development.
Unbeatable location
Mijas Park is located in Las Lagunas de Mijas. In fact, it borders Fuengirola, just 4 km from Sohail Castle and the river park. Cerrado del Águila Golf and Resort, one of the best golf courses in Mijas, is only 2 km away.
There are two entrances to the park. One to the south, near the San Cayetano cemetery. The other to the north, near the La Morena Inn, towards the La Alberquilla crossroads.
What to see and do in Mijas Park

The park is quite large and offers many activity areas and facilities.
Regarding the flora, gardens and green spaces, the park has been designed with native plants that require little water, aromatic plants, citrus trees and cacti.
Explore the park on foot, by bike or on skates

The central boulevard, a 24-metre-wide pedestrian walkway that also includes a bike lane, runs through the entire park.
In addition, there is a wide variety of smaller paths totaling several kilometres. This makes it ideal for enjoying on foot, by bicycle or even on rollerblades.
