Huelva has various bullrings over a hundred years old that have real tourist value: Aroche, Almonaster la Real- both inside medieval castles- Campofrio, the oldest in Spain, Higuera de la Sierra (whose festival on behalf of the Christmas cavalcade is a highlight during the season), the venerable bullring of Aracena, the ones at Santa Ana la Real, Zalamea or Santa Olalla. It is difficult to give dates, as the fairs are somewhat unpredictable ; however, it is worth seeing this part of the world, full of flavour and history.
During the first week of August, Huelva celebrates one of the most important fairs of the Andalusian season: Las Colombinas. They are a tribute to Christopher Columbus, who set sail from Palos de la Frontera with the three caravels of the Discovery of America on 3 August 1492, the big day of the festivities.
Usually in late October and February is the bullfight in Niebla, Huelva.
If you are visiting Huelva in July, you might want to visit this bullring.
