One of the “classic” Christmas markets in Malaga. There are more than 90 Christmas stalls with figures for the nativity scene, Christmas decorations, gifts, books, nougat and traditional sweets among others.

One of the best Christmas markets in Malaga: The Christmas Market at Pier One just a few metres from the historic centre.
This year the agency European best destinations has selected this market among the 5 sunniest Christmas markets in Europe: ‘everything you love about Christmas, but without scarves and with sunglasses’.
Enjoy a stroll by the sea, with stalls selling gastronomy, fashion, jewellery, Christmas treats and much more.
The Christmas Market is open every day until 6 January from 10 am to 10 pm.
Gastrononic Fair Taste of Malaga
The great gastronomic event returns to Paseo del Parque in Malaga, with the participation of a hundred local producers.
Enjoy tasting and buying the best breads, sausages, wines, potatoes, honeys, olive oils, chocolates, Christmas pastries, cheeses and jams, among many others.

Craft Market La Merced
A new edition of this popular craft market in the heart of Malaga takes place on the 1st of December from 11am to 7pm.
It’s the ideal occasion to pick up some original gifts, enjoy a stroll and then have a drink in one of the many bars located around the Plaza de la Merced.

Christmas at Pier One
Pier One (Muelle Uno) opens its Christmas Village on 29 November with many activities for all the family during December and until 6 January.
And this year there will be a Christmas market in the Palmeral de las Sorpresas.
An ideal alternative to enjoy a stroll in one of the most beautiful areas of Malaga, just a few metres from the historic centre.
Christmas Activities at Plaza Mayor
A series of activities for the whole family will take place in the large open-air shopping centre Plaza Mayor during December.
Enter the ‘Enchanted Gardens’, a magical world of nature, lights and sounds. Stroll through free show full of lights, colours and Christmas figures.

Activities & Christmas Markets in the province of Malaga
Christmas Market – Fuengirola
The Fuengirola Christmas Market will be held from 29th November to 22nd December in the Plaza de la Constitución. On the evening of the 29th of November, the Christmas illumination will also be inaugurated in the streets of the town.
It is worth noting that this municipality has one of the most beautiful Christmas illuminations on the Costa del Sol, especially in this square and the surrounding streets.
Every Saturday during these dates there will be a big artificial snowfall at around 7:30 pm.
Charity bazaar – Marbella
The Caritas Christmas Bazaar is one of the most important charity events held in Marbella. This year it takes place from the 12th to the 15th of December at the Palacio de Congresos.
There will be numerous stalls with Christmas items, jewellery, clothes, accessories, decoration, etc., as well as several restaurants, raffles and entertainment area.

Christmas markets – Benalmadena
The Christmas Market in Benalmadena will take place with wooden stalls at Avenida Constitución in front of the cultural centre of Arroyo de la Miel, from the 1st of December to the 7th of January.
This year there will also be a Christmas market at the Darsena de Levante (from 13th December to 6th January) in Puerto Marina.
International Christmas Festival – Benalmadena

A small Christmas Market with handicrafts and Christmas products is located on Palma de Mallorca Avenue and will be installed from 29 November 2024 to 2 January 2025.
Christmas Activities in Torremolinos
Christmas in Torremolinos will start on the 29th of November, with the lighting of the Christmas lights and a concert by the singer Pasión Vega.
As every year there will be a Father Christmas village in the Plaza Pablo Ruiz Picasso from the 29th of November until the 24th of December.
On Palma de Mallorca Avenue there will be a small Christmas Market with handicrafts and Christmas products and it will be set up from 29th November 2024 to 2nd January 2025.
There will also be a Children’s Christmas Park in the gardens of the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Cultural Centre.

Christmas Market – Mijas Pueblo
Enjoy a stroll through the pretty white village of Mijas, just 7 km from Fuengirola. In its Christmas market you will find typical handmade sweets, handmade gifts, decorative items or toys.

Christmas Activities in Marbella
Marbella has prepared many classic Christmas activities such as the traditional Buñueladas (typical fritters) and Chocolatadas (Hot chocolate) in different parts of the city:
- 5 December Cholololatada in the Plaza Ramón Martínez
- 6 December Buñuelada at 5 p.m. in Sol Street
- 8 December Buñuelada at 16:30 h in Paseo de la Alameda with performances by pastoral groups.
Other activities include a Santa Claus house, parades, a route of Nativity scenes and a Santa Claus motorbike ride through the streets of Marbella.
The Magic Park from 30 December to 5 January in the Antonio Serrano Lima sports complex. It has a synthetic ice rink, Christmas train, inflatable attractions and a sliding slide among others.
The New Year’s Eve Party will take place in the Parque de la Represa from 11 pm with live music and -new this year- stoves to soften the temperatures.

Christmas Activities in Estepona
In Estepona, Christmas begins on 29 November with the lighting of the Christmas lights at 7 pm on Calle Terraza, accompanied by Pastorales choirs. At 21:30 h you can enjoy the concert of the Sevillian singer Juanlu Montoya in the Botanical Orchid Park.
There will be activities for all ages, including an ice rink. In the Felipe VI Auditorium there will be a wide variety of performances for all ages, including the ballet ‘The Nutcracker’ on Sunday 8 December.
A Christmas Party will take place at the Palacio de Exposiciones y Congresos from 5 December to 6 January: with ice rink, attractions, toy library and more attractions, with free admission for children and adults.
The Plaza del Ajedrez will host the traditional ‘Santa Claus Christmas Village’ on 22 and 23 December, from 5pm to 9pm, with bouncy castles, workshops and artificial snowfall.
For lovers of local gastronomic delights, the popular ‘Popi, Sabor a Málaga’ Cheese Fair is back, which will be open to the public from 12th to 15th December on the Paseo Marítimo.
The New Year’s Eve Party will take place in the Plaza del Reloj on 31 December. It will feature live music, free cotillion and fireworks.
Christmas Activities in Vélez-Málaga
Vélez-Málaga will switch on the Christmas lights with a big party on Saturday 30th November from 6:15 pm.
The town has prepared many activities, including a Municipal Nativity Scene, a big children’s Christmas party, a parade of pastorals, a Christmas Market in Calle Canalejas.
There will also be themed attractions for children at Plaza de las Carmelitas and Plaza del Carmen.
The Plaza de la Constitución will be one of the main stages throughout Christmas, with children’s parties and the traditional flamenco zambombas. There will also be musical shows in other parts of the centre, puppet shows and workshops in the San Francisco Market and family theatres.
On the Torreón de San Juan will be projected a video mapping from 5 December at 7:30 pm. There will also be guided tours of Nativity scenes, gymkhanas and pastoral parades in the historic centre.

Christmas Activities in Rincón de la Victoria
A whole host of activities await visitors to Rincón de la from 5th December to 5th January 2025.
The epicentre of the activities will be Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana, where the Christmas switch-on will take place, the inauguration of the Municipal Nativity Scene, with the traditional chocolatada, the performance of the Pastoral Granadillas and the inaugural Christmas concert.
There will also be a Christmas market at the Plaza de la Constitución from 13 December to 6 January from 11 am to 9 pm.
There will also be another charity market in the Plaza Pepe El Boticario during the long weekend, from 6 to 9 December. During these days there will also be FoodTrucks at the Plaza Al-Andalus.
Throughout the month there will be several concerts at the Plaza de la Constitución, as well as the Jazz Festival in Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana.

Christmas Activities in Torre del Mar
Christmas starts in Torre del Mar on the 30th of November with the switching on of the Christmas lights in the Plaza de la Axarquía from 6:30 pm.
There will be the traditional free amusement park at the Plaza Juan Aguilar in Torre del Mar, open every day from 4:30 pm.
In addition throughout the month of December there will be music, concerts, children’s shows and performances of all kinds, a giant slide in the car park of El Copo. There will also be a chocolate and fritters party, a Santa Claus parade, the Royal Mailman and the Three Wise Men.

Christmas Market – Torrox
The Torrox Christmas Market (the Malaga municipality with the most German residents) is one of the most similar to its Nordic models. It is the largest Christmas market on the Costa del Sol with about eighty stalls offering Christmas decorations and handicrafts.
Come and enjoy mulled wine, performances, attractions, food, sweets, Christmas products, crafts, Father Christmas and much more.

Christmas Activities in Torrox
Another event to highlight in Torrox is its popular gastronomic event, the Dia de las Migas on the 22 December. It is one of the most popular fiestas in the province of Malaga and attracts thousands of people every year. There will also be local wine to accompany the dish, as well as ensalada arriera (with oranges, tomatoes, potatoes, onions and olives).
The Migas festival will start at 11 am at Plaza de la Constitución with a concert. At 1 pm, the party moves to the Almazara plain (car park at the top of Torrox village) where, from 2 pm, the migas will be distributed. And at 4 pm, at Plaza de la Constitución, a concert will start which will last until the evening.
Christmas Market – Nerja
The Plaza de España in Nerja will host a Christmas market with wooden stalls from 4 December to 5 January.
