One of the “classic” Christmas markets in Malaga. There are more than 90 Christmas stalls with figures for the nativity scene, Christmas decorations, gifts, books, nougat and traditional sweets among others.

Christmas Market at Pier One

One of the best Christmas markets in Malaga: The Christmas Market at Pier One just a few metres from the historic centre.
Last year, the agency European Best Destinations selected this market as one of the 5 sunniest Christmas markets in Europe: ‘everything you love about Christmas, but without scarves and with sunglasses’.
Enjoy a stroll by the sea, with stalls selling gastronomy, fashion, jewellery, Christmas treats and much more.
The Christmas Market is open every day until 11 January from 10 am to 10 pm.
Gastrononic Fair `Taste of Malaga´

The great gastronomic event returns to Paseo del Parque in Malaga, with the participation of a hundred local producers.
Enjoy tasting and buying the best breads, sausages, wines, potatoes, honeys, olive oils, chocolates, Christmas pastries, cheeses and jams, among many others.

A new edition of this popular craft market in the heart of Malaga takes place on 7 December from 11 am to 7 pm.

Cancer charity market

Among the Christmas markets in Malaga is this charity market taking place on the central Alcazabilla street on Saturday, November 29th, from 11 am to 6 pm.
There will be charity products, Christmas workshops for children, decorations, and gifts. All proceeds will go to support cancer patients and their families.
Christmas Market at Plaza Mayor

This charming open-air shopping centre, designed in the Andalusian style, hosts a Christmas market on December 5th and 6th, featuring stalls selling fashion, crafts, decorations, gifts and unique items.
Plaza Mayor is located just 2 km from Malaga Airport, offers ample parking and has its own stop on the C-1 commuter train line.

Christmas at Pier One

Pier One (Muelle Uno) opens its Christmas Village on 28 November with many activities for all the family during December and until 6 January.
At 7 pm, Santa Claus will arrive in a colorful and musical parade. Afterwards, the official Christmas lights will be switched on at Muelle Uno. Following the switch-on, there will be a free concert with popular songs for the whole family.

An ideal alternative to enjoy a stroll in one of the most beautiful areas of Malaga, just a few metres from the historic centre.

Christmas Market – Fuengirola
The Fuengirola Christmas Market will be held from November 27th to December 21st at Plaza de la Constitución.
It is worth noting that this municipality has one of the most beautiful Christmas illuminations on the Costa del Sol, especially in this square and the surrounding streets.
Every Saturday during these dates there will be a big artificial snowfall at around 7:30 pm.
Charity bazaar – Marbella

This year marks the 20th edition of Marbella’s charity Christmas market for Cáritas. As always, it will take place at the Conference and Exhibition Centre, where festive shopping, food, and activities for the whole family await you for four days.

Christmas Activities in Benalmadena

The City Council has prepared a Christmas program packed with activities for all ages. Here are some of the highlights:
- International Christmas Festival: November 28-30, 12 pm to 12 am at Plaza de la Mezquita.
- November 28 at 6 pm: Christmas lights switched on in Benalmadena Pueblo. At 7 pm: Christmas lights switched on in Benalmadena Costa. At 8 pm: Christmas lights switched on in Arroyo de la Miel.

Christmas Activities in Torremolinos

From November 23rd to January 5th, you can enjoy a wide range of activities in Torremolinos, beginning with the Christmas lights switch-on on December 6th.
The switch-on will be preceded by an inaugural parade at 7:00 pm, starting from Plaza San Miguel and ending at Plaza Costa del Sol. There, Luz Casal will give a free concert, followed by the official lighting of the Christmas lights and her performance.
The Christmas Market will be located on Avenida Palma de Mallorca and will be open until January 2nd.

The musical ‘Aladdin’ will take place at the Príncipe de Asturias Municipal Auditorium on December 7th at 12 pm. Admission is free with registration through the Torremolinos Despega app.
The annual Toy Run for Charity returns on December 13th at 11:00 AM in Plaza Blas Infante, with the race starting at 12:00 PM from Plaza Federico García Lorca.
The Christmas Gala will take place on December 14th at 12 pm in the Príncipe de Asturias Auditorium, featuring the Malaga Symphony Orchestra performing film scores. Admission is free with prior reservation through the Torremolinos Despega app.
From December 19th to January 4th, the gardens of the Pablo Ruiz Picasso Cultural Centre will host the Christmas Park, featuring children’s rides, workshops, and theatrical performances.
Christmas Market – Mijas Pueblo

Enjoy a stroll through the pretty white village of Mijas, just 7 km from Fuengirola. In its Christmas market you will find typical handmade sweets, handmade gifts, decorative items or toys.

Christmas Activities in Marbella

A Christmas program full of activities, shows, lights, and markets awaits you in Marbella.
Christmas Markets
At Avenida del Mar, located in the heart of Marbella, there will be a Christmas Market with more than thirty stalls. There you’ll find crafts, decorations, gifts, and sweets. In addition, throughout the Christmas season, the market’s stage will offer free shows for all ages.
The market will remain open until January 5th, from 12 pm to 10 pm.

In addition, there will be another Christmas market in Puerto Banús at Muelle Ribera from December 6th to January 6th.
There you’ll find an elegant market with wooden stalls selling crafts, toys, handmade ornaments, jewelry, and festive decorations. There will also be gourmet food trucks offering local delicacies, international street food, mulled wine and traditional sweets.
Christmas Activities in Estepona

Christmas in Estepona will begin on November 28th, with the lighting of the Christmas lights at 7 pm at Plaza Antonia Guerrero.
One of this year’s new features will be the Christmas Park in the outdoor area of the Felipe VI Auditorium Theatre. There will be an ice rink, Santa’s house, a carousel, bumper cars, an ice slide, bouncy castles, and food stalls.
The Christmas park will be open from November 29 to January 4, from 5 pm to 11 pm (December 25 and January 1 open from 11 am, December 24 and 31 will be closed).
The Plaza del Ajedrez will host the traditional ‘Santa Claus Christmas Village’ on 21 December, from 5pm to 9pm, with bouncy castles, workshops and artificial snowfall.

For lovers of local gastronomic delights, the popular Cheese Fair ‘Popi, Sabor a Málaga’ returns, which will be open to the public from December 12 to 14, from 12 pm to 10 pm in the central Calle Real.
The New Year’s Eve Party will take place in the Plaza del Reloj on 31 December. It will feature live music, free cotillion and fireworks.
Christmas Activities in Vélez-Málaga

Vélez-Málaga is once again transforming into a “Christmas City,” with nearly a hundred activities for all ages.
The festivities kick off on December 5th with the switching on of the Christmas lights at 6:30 pm on Canalejas Street. A large children’s party will take place from 4:30 pm in Plaza de las Carmelitas.
This year there will be a daily light and sound show on Canalejas Street, with two performances at 6:30 pm and 8 pm. In addition, the spectacular video mapping on the San Juan tower will return every day at 7 pm.
Another major new feature this year will be the Hansel and Gretel House at Plaza de las Carmelitas, a magical space that will be open every day from 5 pm to 8:30 pm. There will be activities and workshops for children (pre-registration required by calling 0034 663 25 64 48).
The Plaza de la Constitución (which will be equipped with heating) will host free Christmas shows by national artists.
And starting December 20th, the San Francisco Market will once again be transformed into a large children’s area with theater, storytelling, music, a magic kitchen with puppets, and workshops.

Christmas Activities in Rincón de la Victoria

A whole host of activities await visitors to Rincón de la from 5th December to 5th January 2026.
The epicentre of the activities will be Casa Fuerte Bezmiliana, where where on Thursday, December 5th the Christmas switch-on will take place, the inauguration of the Municipal Nativity Scene, with the traditional chocolatada, the performance of the Pastoral Granadillas and the inaugural Christmas concert.
There will also be a Christmas market at the Plaza de la Constitución from December 5th to January 8th, from 12 pm to 10 pm.
Throughout the month there will be theatrical performances, choirs, gospel music, food trucks, Christmas workshops, the San Silvestre race, traditional Christmas carols, a visit from Santa Claus, a Christmas party and much more!

Christmas Activities in Torre del Mar

Torre del Mar has a very extensive program of activities that includes live music, children’s performances, parades, workshops, festivals, a Christmas market, traditional Christmas carol singing (zambombas) and activities for the whole family between December 5 and January 5.
Program of Highlights
December 5: Inauguration of the Christmas lights and the lighting of the large tree in Plaza Juan Aguilar, parade, and a concert by Granada Gospel Sound.
From December 5 to January 1, Plaza Juan Aguilar will host a Christmas Amusement Park with free rides, workshops, and quieter hours.
December 13: Pop Christmas with a Queen tribute and flamenco.
December 20: Hakuna Matata concert, Estopa tribute and OBK concert.
There will be a children’s Christmas Village (December 23), a Christmas market (December 28), and the traditional Big Hot Chocolate Party on December 18.
Christmas Activities in Coín

Located in the verdant Guadalhorce Valley, also known as “the Orchard of Malaga,” Coín also boasts a full Christmas program for all ages.
The program kicks off on Saturday, November 29th, with the lighting of the Christmas lights at Plaza José Bermúdez de la Rubia.
Other activities to highlight
Christmas market on Saturday, December 13th at Plaza Alameda from 11 am to 2 pm and from 4 pm to 8 pm.
On December 20th at Plaza Alameda, there will be a flamenco Christmas carol performance (zambomba). You can also enjoy free hot chocolate and wine-flavored doughnuts.
Children’s Christmas Fair at the Fairgrounds with workshops and activities. There will also be bouncy castles and games for children at the El Rodeo Sports Centre.

Christmas Market – Torrox

The Torrox Christmas Market (the Malaga municipality with the most German residents) is the largest Christmas market on the Costa del Sol. There you´ll find about eighty stalls offering Christmas decorations and handicrafts.
Come and enjoy mulled wine, performances, attractions, food, sweets, Christmas products, crafts, Father Christmas and much more.

Christmas Activities in Torrox
Another event to highlight in Torrox is its popular gastronomic event, the Dia de las Migas on the 21 December. It is one of the most popular fiestas in the province of Malaga and attracts thousands of people every year. There will be local wine to accompany the dish. And also ensalada arriera (with oranges, tomatoes, potatoes, onions and olives).
The Migas festival will start at 11 am at Plaza de la Constitución with a concert. At 1 pm, the party moves to the Almazara plain (car park at the top of Torrox village). There, from 2 pm, the migas will be distributed. And at 4 pm, at Plaza de la Constitución, a concert will start which will last until the evening.
Christmas activities in Nerja
Nerja celebrates the Christmas season with 120 events from December 5th to January 6th.

Highlights
December 5: Opening of the Municipal Nativity Scene at the Tourist Office at 5:30 pm. Following this, the Christmas lights will be switched on at Plaza de España at 6:30 pm, accompanied by a parade.
December 19: Plaza de España will host a Christmas market with wooden stalls until January 5.
