Practical Information

Activities and Attractions at the Top

The Benalmadena Cable Car offers much more than just the ride:

Summer Evening Rides

During July and August the cable car operates until 23:00. The evening rides offer a magical opportunity to enjoy the starry sky over the Costa del Sol – a memorable experience for the whole family.

Birds of Prey Shows

Daily flight demonstrations with eagles, vultures and other birds of prey take place at the summit. Expert keepers provide fascinating information about the birds’ biology, habitat and conservation.

Hiking Trails on Monte Calamorro

Several well-marked trails start from the upper station, allowing you to explore the Mediterranean mountain landscape.

Sendero de los Muertos

Two options: the shorter and easier Calamorro route, and the longer, more challenging Ermita variant. Both offer superb views over the Guadalhorce Valley and, on clear days, across to the African coast.

Sendero de los Lenadores

A 5.15 km circular route through classic Mediterranean scrubland with holm oaks, juniper and thyme. Suitable for walkers and mountain bikers alike.

Ruta Circular Canada del Lobo

One of the most popular circuits, with dramatic views of Malaga, the Costa del Sol and the Sierra Nevada. Best walked in the morning before the heat builds up.
