Music Festivals Costa del Sol 2022

The Costa del Sol is very popular for many reasons, one of them being undoubtedly the music festivals that take place every year during the summer months.

With a mild and benevolent climate, the sea breeze, some truly impressive stages and a line-up full of artists, the Costa del Sol also has all the necessary infrastructure, accommodation and hotels and with Malaga international airport just a few kilometres away.

We just have to decide which of the festivals we are going to visit in 2022. Here we go with the Costa del Sol Music Festivals 2022, we are looking forward to it, aren’t we?

Reggaeton Beach Festival in Marbella

The biggest Urban Beach Festival in Europe celebrates its first edition in Marbella for Reggaeton lovers, with entertainment, bouncy castles and water attractions, food trucks (including vegetarian, vegan and gluten free).

Brisa Festival

The La Malagueta bullring will host the 2nd edition of the Brisa Festival, with bands such as Danza Invisible, Dorian, Seguridad Social, Amaia, Mikel Erentxun, Mikel Erentxun, La La Love You, Anni B Sweet, Juan Perro, Dry Martina and Miss Caffeina.

Andalusia Big Festival

This new festival brings together in its first edition more than 50 artists from the national and international scene, with groups such as Muse or Jamiroquai, Vetusta Morla, Nova Twins, Sylvie Kreusch and Morgan, among others.

Andalucía Big Festival will take place on Sacaba beach in Málaga and will have three stages with a varied and eclectic musical programme for all audiences, covering styles ranging from pop, indie, and rock to electronic music and new trends. The finishing touch to close the summer.

Fulanita Fest

Fuengirola hosts the first female music festival in southern Spain, an event to vindicate the power of music made by women. With live music, welcome party, women’s football tournament and performances by DJs and food trucks (with vegan and gluten free option), in one of the best outdoor venues, next to the sea, Marenostrum Fuengirola.

The welcome party takes place at Florida Beach in Mijas, on the 27th of May, from 8 pm to 4 am.

Puro Latino Fest Torremolinos

You are into reggaeton? Then you can’t miss this macro-festival that takes place in Torremolinos in July.

If you like Latin music, reggaeton, trap and hip-hop, you have an appointment with the national and international DJs of the moment such as Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, Bad Gyal or Lil Pump, Rauw Alejandro and many more.

Tickets purchased for the festival in previous years are valid for next year.

The festival will be held at the Fairgrounds in Torremolinos on the 14th, 15th, and 16th of July 2022.

Camorock Fest Alameda

Rock is more your thing, no problem! Camarock 2022 will take place outdoors on June 4th in Alameda’s Camorrillo Park. The tenth edition of this metal festival will be headlined by Battle Beast plus Sphinx, Celtiberian, Snakeyes and Dark Embrace, i.e. the same bands scheduled for 2020.

It will also remain a completely free festival for the public.

Oh, See! Málaga

The Oh, see! Festival returns to Malaga on 20 and 21 May 2022. It will take place during the day at the Cortijo de Torres Municipal Auditorium with a capacity reduced to 7,000 people.

It is worth highlighting the unique format of the festival, with a completely daytime schedule, the performances do not overlap and there are parallel activities for all kinds of audiences:

In the Oh, Kids! Zone, where they will hold workshops in which they will become reporters, illustrators or expert dancers and can meet some of the artists in person. There will also be a Gastro Zone with food trucks and the Oh, See! Club, which will host the best national DJs.

Marenostrum Fuengirola

The Marenostrum Festival, born in 2016, is consolidating itself as one of the best festivals on the coast, both for its line-up of artists and for its unrivalled location just a few metres from the seafront next to the Arab fortress Sohail.

In its last edition, it was the venue chosen for the only EU stop on Jennifer López’s tour and has also hosted prestigious artists such as Ricky Martin, Bob Dylan, Sting, Alejandro Fernández, Santana and Manuel Carrasco.

Marenostrum Fuengirola will kick off its 2022 edition on 30 April with a concert by Fito & Fitipaldis. Alejandro Sanz is also confirmed.

Weekend Beach Torre del Mar

This popular festival held every year in Torre del Mar, prepares for its seventh edition from 6 to 9 July 2022. It is a marathon festival with more than 50 national and international artists.

Some of the confirmed artists are: Residente, Paulo Londra, Luciano, Natti Natasha, The Hives, Tarrus Riley, Deborah de Luca, Vintage Trouble and among the nationals Kase O, Sfdk, Lola Indigo, Natos y Waor, La Polla Records, El Drogas, El Kanka, Dellafuente, Rayden, Guitarricadelafuente and many more.

In addition, in the official press release, it was informed that tickets purchased for the editions planned for 2020 and 2021 are still valid for 2022.

Starlight Marbella

One of the best boutique festivals in Europe, held every year in the Cantera de Nagüeles, a natural amphitheatre surrounded by breathtaking scenery. The unique feature of Starlite is the closeness between the audience and the artists, with more than 50 days of concerts.

Artists so far confirmed for 2022: Estopa, Estrella Morente, Jessie J, Ana Torroja, Il Divo, Maluma, Lionel Richie, Ozuna, Andrea Bocelli, Alan Parsons Live Project, Simple Minds, Hombres G, Maluma and Passenger.

The festival has a second, more casual space, Sessions, where you can enjoy the shows while dancing and having a drink outdoors under the stars.

Ultra Beach Fuengirola

Ultra Beach Costa Del Sol is an electronic music and EDM festival taking place at Marenostrum Castle Park, in Fuengirola.

This festival is undoubtedly one of the world’s most famous dance music festival brands hosting the best DJ’s and great audio-visual production, with KSHMR, Afrojack, Oliver Heldens and Adam Beyer, among others.
It will take place on Saturday 20th August, from 3pm, on two stages: on the main Ultra Beach stage, located on the hill of the Sohail Castle and inside the Arab fortress.

Ultra Beach Costa del Sol 2021 was rescheduled to 2022, due to the coronavirus outbreak. Tickets remain valid for the 2022 edition.

Cala Mijas Festival

The international festival Cala Mijas 2022 will celebrate its first edition from 1 to 3 September 2022 in Malaga, Costa del Sol, with a line-up made up of top international and national bands such as Arctic Monkeys, Kraftwerk, Hot Chip and Nathy Peluso, Liam Gallagher, The Chemical Brothers, James Blake, Blossoms, Bonobo, Hot Chip, Chet Faker, Bomba Estereo, Marc Rebillet, Sen Senra, Love of Lesbian, El Columpio Asesino, MEUTE, Hnos Munoz, Rusowsky, The Lathums, Uniforms, Venturi and many more.

It will feature an exclusive Camping with Glamping options.

Canela Party Torremolinos

You won’t want to miss out on the dancing at this 3-day summer festival.

Bands already confirmed: King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard,Ty Segall & Freedom Band, PUP, Battles, Carolina Durante, Preoccupations, METZ, Perro, Baiuca (live band show), Bronquio, Camellos, Rayo, Tracksuit Jacket, Dan Deacon, Deerhoof, Ghum Lysistrata, Mini Trees, Parquesvr, Los Estanques, Medalla, Rata Negra, Los Manises and more bands to be announced.

At the same venue of Weekend Beach in Torre del Mar comes this festival on the 20th of August which combines electronic music, actors, tightrope walkers and stilt walkers, extravagant decorations.

Nerja Cave Music Festival

The Nerja Cave is a huge complex of natural underground galleries with guided tours and where every summer the classical music and dance festival takes place. Everything you need to know to visit the Cueva de Nerja.

Nowadays, for conservation reasons, only a few privileged performances take place inside the cave and most are held in its gardens.

The 61st Cueva de Nerja Music Festival will feature performances by Pablo Alborán, Israel Fernández, Víctor Manuel, Ana Mena and Rosario Flores.
