The Costa del Sol is very popular for many reasons, one of them being undoubtedly the music festivals that take place every year during the summer months.
With a mild and benevolent climate, the sea breeze, some truly impressive stages and a line-up full artists, the Costa del Sol also has all the necessary infrastructure, accommodation and hotels and with Malaga international airport just a few kilometres away.
We just have to decide which of the festivals we are going to visit. At this year’s Marenostrum Fuengirola and Starlite Marbella, you can expect artists such as Romeo Santos, Prince Royce, Sting, Alejandro Sanz, Underworld, Lenny Kravitz, Maroon, Deep Purple, Carlos Rivera or Sergio Dalma.

Marenostrum Fuengirola
The Marenostrum Festival born in 2016 is consolidating itself as one of the best festivals on the coast, both for its line-up of artists and for its unrivalled location just a few metres from the seafront next to the Arab fortress Sohail.
It was the venue chosen for the only EU stop on Jennifer Lopez’s tour. It has also hosted prestigious artists such as Ricky Martin, Bob Dylan, Sting, Alejandro Fernández, Santana and Manuel Carrasco.

Starlite Marbella
One of the best boutique festivals in Europe, held every year in the Cantera de Nagüeles, a natural amphitheatre surrounded by breath-taking scenery.
The unique feature of Starlite is the closeness between the audience and the artists, with more than 50 days of concerts.
The festival has a second, more casual space, Sessions, where you can enjoy the shows while dancing and having a drink outdoors under the stars.

Elrow – Malaga
On August 22nd, the Malaga Forum will host one of the most hedonistic and spectacular parties on the alternative music scene, catering to lovers of electronic music and techno house.
The brand Elrow is internationally renowned for its parties, characterized by a stylish atmosphere, good vibes and extraordinary decor.

Brunch Electronic – Malaga
Fans of great international electronic music have a must-attend event at this popular gathering. Brunch Electronic has a permanent home in spring and autumn at the open-air venue of the Cortijo de Torres Auditorium in Malaga.
What makes this event unique is that it takes place on Saturday afternoons, in a “day-party” format from 6:00 pm to 2:00 am. The festival is also known for its positive atmosphere, sustainability, community, and inclusivity. If you love dancing to techno and house, come along—you’ll love the experience. The area also features rest areas and food options.

Urban Paradise – Fuengirola
The magnificent Marenostrum Fuengirola venue, just steps from the sea, will host this one-day urban music festival.
With four international artists set to get everyone dancing, you can enjoy an unforgettable night of the best reggaeton, trap and hip-hop. Confirmed artists include Omar Courtz, Kris R, and Yan Block, plus a fourth artist yet to be announced.

OMA Sound – Marbella
The OMA Sound festival takes place throughout the summer, featuring indie, electronic, reggaeton and pop music.
Formerly known as Oasisss Marbella Fest, it has rebranded as OMA Sound for its fourth edition this summer. The event remains at Finca Caridad, an open-air venue of over 80,000 square metres, complete with a food area, chill-out zone, attractions and VIP areas.

Brisa Festival – Malaga
The biggest festival in Malaga capital returns in its 6th edition this summer to the Dique de Levante in the Port of Malaga. The cruise terminal area will once again become a great stage by the sea for 3 days.
You will be able to enjoy the best artists and groups of the national scene on two stages, a large artificial grass area, gastro area and chill-out area just 2 km from the historic centre of Malaga.

Do you like Reggaeton? Then you can’t miss this macro-festival in Torremolinos.

Bella Festival – Marbella
Within the framework of the Oasis Marbella Fest a new edition will take place with the best indie music, DJ sessions, art, gastronomy and chill-out areas.
The lineup includes nationally renowned artists as well as rising new talent. The blend of indie and pop creates a vibrant atmosphere that drew over 10,000 people in 2025.

101 Music Festival – Malaga
The 6th edition of 101 Music Festival in Malaga will bring a selection of great artists from the national scene of various genres for all audiences. The festival takes place at the Plaza de Toros de la Malagueta.

Weekend Beach – Torre del Mar
Weekend Beach, the national music festival of reference, will return to Torre del Mar on July 9, 10 and 11.

Oh, See! – Malaga
The Oh, See! Festival returns to Malaga on May 22 and 23 with 20 hours of music. It will take place during the day at the Cortijo de Torres Municipal Auditorium with a reduced capacity of 7,000 people.
It is worth highlighting the unique format of the festival, with a completely daytime programme, the performances do not overlap and there are parallel activities for all kinds of audiences:
At the Oh, Kids! there will be workshops where they can become reporters, illustrators or expert dancers and meet some of the artists in person. There will also be a Gastro Zone with food trucks and the Oh, See! Club, which will host the best national DJs.

Canela Party – Torremolinos
You’ll have plenty of time to dance at this 3-day summer festival.
Also in Torremolinos is this popular festival with an impressive line-up. It started as a small festival organized among friends and is now one of the best alternative festivals – from avant-garde flamenco to punk, passing through indie and rock – with almost 19,000 people in 2025.

Fulanita Fest – Fuengirola
Fuengirola hosts this women’s music festival for the sixth consecutive year, an event that celebrates the power of music made by women and which attracted over 8,500 people last year.
Headlined by Chanel, Ana Mena, and Sofía Reyes, the festival maintains its indie, pop, and urban essence with a 100% female and LGBTIQ+ focus. There’s also a food area (with vegan and gluten-free options) in one of the best open-air venues by the sea, Marenostrum Fuengirola.

Brunch Electronic – Malaga
Brunch Electronic, probably the biggest electronic music festival in Málaga, will bring more than 40 different artists to the city during the spring and autumn of 2026.
The spring events will take place on Saturdays at the Cortijo de Torres Municipal Auditorium for five consecutive Saturdays (April 4, 11, 18, 25, and May 2). The “Season Opening” on April 4 will feature Paco Osuna, Franky Rizardo, Manda Moor, and Martimoon. There will be eight hours of music, as well as bars and food trucks.

Ojeando Festival – Ojén
A new edition of one of the most emblematic indie music festivals in Andalusia, held every year in the village of Ojén, a few kilometres from Marbella.
Ojeando Festival brings together in two days more than 30 performances. Last year there were 5 stages spread over emblematic places in Ojén, a typical Andalusian village with whitewashed walls and narrow streets.

Defected – Marbella
Defected, the famous house music label, brings a new edition to Marbella Arena, the venue located in the old bullring in Puerto Banus.
The iconic Marbella Arena (with a capacity of 1,900 people) will offer a night of house music with big names such as DJ EZ, Eliza Rose and Melé, consolidating the event as a must-see of the summer on the Costa del Sol.

Alameda Festival – Alameda
Alameda Festival takes its name from its location, Alameda, in the north of the province of Malaga.
The festival, which celebrates its fifth anniversary in 2026, brings together some of the most recognizable names in the national music scene, such as Miguel Campello, Mojinos Escozíos, Benito Kamelas, Las Rodes, Poncho K and La Gore, and more artists yet to be announced.

Dreambeach – Vélez-Málaga
This electronic music festival moves to the Costa del Sol this year to celebrate its 12th edition on July 31st and August 1st. It will take place at the Vélez-Málaga Fairgrounds and will feature four stages.
Dreambeach Costa del Sol confirms David Guetta for its premiere in Vélez-Málaga, which will feature the French artist’s exclusive “Monolith Show”.
The 2025 edition attracted over 90,000 attendees and featured top-tier artists such as Will Smith, Nathy Peluso, Steve Angello, Steve Aoki, Amelie Lens, and Indira Paganotto, among many others.
