San Diego Comic-Con Malaga 2026
The second edition of San Diego Comic-Con Malaga will be held from October 1 to 4, 2026 at the Exhibition and Congress Palace (FYCMA).
The first edition of the biggest “fantasy festival” brought more than 95,000 attendees to the Costa del Sol and featured more than 30 international guests such as Arnold Schwarzenegger, Antonio Banderas, Jim Lee, Norman Reedus, Nobuo Uematsu, Elle Fanning, Jared Leto and Aaron Paul, among others.
Criticisms and improvements
Expectations were high, but there was also a lot of criticism regarding organization and extremely long lines. Therefore, the organizers have announced substantial improvements in this area for this year.
San Diego Comic-Con Malaga 2026 will allow attendees to bring their own food and drink. The organizers are thus resolving one of the major controversies from the first edition.
Expansion of the premises
There will be a considerable expansion of the exhibition space, with the addition of a new outdoor pavilion. The previous 10,000 square metres will increase to almost 20,000.
This translates directly into a doubling of the number of stands and a much more efficient redistribution of visitor flow, something that received considerable criticism in the first edition.
Among the new features, two large exhibition areas stand out: Exhibitor Hall Town, located within FYCMA, and Exhibitor Hall Garden, a new climate-controlled indoor pavilion in the Village area spanning over 8,800 m².
Gaming Plaza
Gaming and role-playing games are gaining prominence at the event. Their space has expanded from 280 square metres to over 2,000 square metres in a separate location within the venue.
Ludic Plaza
The Ludic Plaza, dedicated to role-playing and board games, is also growing significantly. This year it will be spread across two separate pavilions, thus preventing overcrowding.
Artists’ Alley
The opportunity to meet top-tier cartoonists, illustrators and graphic novel authors remains a major draw.
In 2026, the space will also be expanded with an outdoor area. This will allow for a greater number of creators to participate and provide a more open environment for interaction with the public. Artists’ Alley will feature more than 90 booths from national and international artists – almost double the number from last year.
Meet the Artist
The Meet the Artist space also returns, where you can interact with international figures from film, comics and illustration.
Confirmed artists
The official list of confirmed guests is categorized by their area of pop culture. Most of the actors will participate in panels open to the public and hold individual autograph and photo sessions.

Transportation to Comic-Con Malaga
The FYCMA is located next to the western ring road of Malaga, halfway between Malaga Airport (9 km) and María Zambrano train station (4 km). We’ve included useful information about access to the venue and transportation options.
City bus
The Exhibition Centre (FYCMA) is well connected to the centre of Malaga. During the event, a special city bus, line 64, runs from the city centre (between Calle Larios and Puerta del Mar). It connects the centre to FYCMA every 10 minutes.
Suburban train
If you’re coming from Fuengirola, Benalmadena, Torremolinos or Malaga Airport, you can take the C-1 suburban train. Get off at Victoria Kent station, which is just a few minutes’ walk from FYCMA.

There will be three parking areas within a short walk of the FYCMA venue.
Is there a taxi rank near FYCMA?
During the event, the taxi rank will be located on Camino de San Rafael, a short distance from FYCMA.
Does the venue have accessible facilities?
Comicon Malaga is accessible for people with reduced mobility. There are also designated areas for people with reduced mobility or special needs, a lactation room, and an accessible restroom.
How much do tickets cost?
General admission tickets are priced at €84.80 per day. Official sales began on May 4th – don’t wait much longer!
How many tickets can I buy?
A maximum of 4 tickets.
What does my ticket include?
Access to all exhibition areas, guest talks and activities. Children aged 0 to 3 enter for free (though they still need an entry ticket), and there are reduced rates for children.
Can I bring food or water?
The organizers have confirmed that this year, attendees may bring their own water bottles, and there will be a wider range of food and drink options at more affordable prices.
Can minors attend?
Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, while 16- and 17-year-olds may enter with certain limitations regarding independence.
Are backpacks allowed?
They are permitted inside the venue but must undergo a mandatory security check and search at the entrances.
