Can I walk or do I have to hire a buggy?

You usually have a choice. There are many special offers that include shared buggies.

However, be aware that it can get very hot in Malaga and, for many, walking during the hottest months (July and August) is not a very appetising option.

It can also depend on the course you are playing on, as some are flat and others are more hilly.

Are there special offers for children?

Yes, especially during school holidays. In general, courses have offers for children up to the age of 14 to play during school holidays. Other offers may allow children to play for free if accompanied by an adult golfer.

If you play in one of the best courses in Spain, such as Valderrama (in our neighbouring province of Cadiz, 45 minutes from Marbella), you will have to present a handicap certificate.

Although all courses are obliged to request official handicap certificates, most courses do not.

The months of July and August are considered low season in Malaga, so you can find great deals in those months.

Which are the hottest months in Malaga and which are best avoided?
