This engaging hiking route takes you from Pozo Alcón to Tiscar, offering a variety of landscapes and historical sites along the way. The trail is well-marked and provides an enjoyable journey through the beautiful Sierra del Pozo.
Beginning at the Herrerías bridge, the track leads towards Pozo Alcón. Along this route, you will pass Cabañas Peak on the left and a hill slightly below your path on the right, known as Nava Alta del Espino, about 1 km ahead.
To the north, you'll find the Cañada de las Fuentes gorge, while to the south lies the Cañada de Tiscar gorge and Las Fuentes. By descending through the southern gorge, you can follow an old, narrow track that leads left towards Tiscar. If you choose the northern gorge, you will descend the Cañada de los Tejos until you reach the road leading to the source of the River Guadalquivir at Cañada de las Fuentes.
Returning to the main track through Tiscar's gorge, you will descend between the Royal hillock and the Cagasebo hillock, both very steep and surrounding the town of Tiscar. The descent leads to a large hill with tracks on both slopes that guide you into Tiscar. The left slope is shorter and more entertaining, and after passing some houses, you will arrive in Tiscar.
This route is perfect for combining physical activity with the appreciation of nature and history. Along the way, you can enjoy activities such as bird watching, photography, and exploring the diverse ecosystems and historical landmarks along the route.
