To do this route which starts in Alajar you have to go to La Peña; just walk up to where end the village houses and begins the path which you have to follow without deviating. After crossing a crossroads you will see further ahead, at this point you should take the left path to climb to La Peña, a place where you can enjoy the beautiful views and take a break before continuing.
After enjoying the views from La Peña you have to take the path in front of the Hermitage; this path takes you to the village El Castaño and which you should follow without deviating. Once past the first intersection you'll find a slight rise behind which there is a downhill; while you walk down the path you will find some wooden signs that will guide you to Castaño de Robledo, a typical mountain village you'll love.
This route is situated in the Natural Park of Aracena and Picos de Aroche and can be performed circularly, taking a total of about 15.4 kilometres; it furthermore can be toured in both directions.
Information: The trail is full of chestnut; a nice walk which is recommended during the month of November to see the maximum beauty of its landscape.
Recommendations: This path by its length and unevenness is not recommended for children or older people.
