This route will show us the beauty that surrounds the Natural Park Sierra de Aracena, a landscape of contrasts to which you can get from Seville on the A-66 and the national road N-433; after passing by Aracena you'll find the turnoff to Los Marines, you can start the route both in Aracena and Los Marines.
Los Marines is situated at 718 metres above sea level, the route passes by the village Linares de Sierra; situated in a valley, this village has the typical architecture of the Andalusian white villages with narrow cobbled streets and whitewashed houses. From Linares de la Sierra continues the path towards Aracena, a trail that runs along the typical Mediterranean forest and show us old stone walls demarcating areas of orchards.
In Aracena is outstanding the view of its castle on the hill; it’s a town in Huelva located at 700 meters above sea level in the Natural Park. The Alcazaba on which ruins was built the castle dates from the period of Muslim rule, definitely a good attraction to visit during our passage through Aracena.
In the map below you can see the marked circular route and altitude:
- Along this beautiful route we recommend a visit to the villages along which we pass.
- If you want to avoid a steep climb we recommend the route starting from Aracena, following Los Marines and Linares de la Sierra.
