Encore Classical Music Festival
On 20 July, the orchestra and choir of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and superstar conductor Maestro Zubin Mehta will be in Marbella.
More than 150 of the world’s finest musicians and artists will present Beethoven’s 9th Symphony in a monumental live performance.
The event will take place in the newly renovated Marbella Arena, the former bullring. A spectacular venue and the perfect setting for this masterpiece of classical music.

Terral Festival
The fearsome wind of very high temperatures, a local phenomenon in Malaga, has given its name to this festival that takes place in the city centre.
With a line-up of artists who take us musically across 4 continents: Toquinho, Ana Moura, Vicente Amigo, Omar Faruk Tekbilek, Fatoumata Diawara and Puerto Candelaria.
The concerts take place in the Cervantes Theatre in Malaga.

Brisa Festival

Weekend Beach
This popular festival held every year in Torre del Mar, prepares for its seventh edition from 6 to 9 July 2022 a marathon festival with more than 50 national and international artists.
Some of the confirmed artists are: Residente, Paulo Londra, Luciano, Natti Natasha, The Hives, Tarrus Riley, Deborah de Luca, Vintage Trouble and among the nationals to Kase O, Sfdk, Lola Indigo, Natos y Waor, La Polla Records, El Drogas, El Kanka, Dellafuente, Rayden, Guitarricadelafuente and many more.
In addition, in the official press release, it was informed that tickets purchased for the editions planned for 2020 and 2021 are still valid for 2022.

Musas en el Jardín (Muses in the Garden)
The gardens of the La Térmica cultural centre will host a total of nine open-air concerts in a wide variety of genres, including the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra performing original soundtracks and symphonic rock.

Estepona Fair
The Estepona fair takes place at the beginning of July in honour of its patron saint Virgen del Carmen, who is also the patron saint of fishermen as you will see in the following event.
Many locals take the day off to celebrate the fiestas to the full, with lots of colourful music, dancing, parades of floats and folklore shows.

Maritime processions of the Virgen del Carmen
The processions of the Virgen del Carmen are a seafaring tradition that is lived with fervour and great devotion in the province of Malaga: from Nerja to Manilva, in many coastal towns large maritime processions are held on the occasion of the Carmen festivities.
The processions in Pedregalejo (Malaga), Carihuela (Torremolinos) and Estepona are particularly beautiful and moving.

MUMU. Music and Museums 2022
This event takes place at the Museum of Málaga, in the historic centre of the city (by the way, if you go, don’t miss the fabulous rooftop terrace of the museum for a drink).
The proposal is to combine live music in heritage spaces, with a variety of artists such as rock, blues, pop and rap, flamenco, indie-pop or minimalist sounds.

Nerja Cave Music Festival
The Nerja Cave is a huge complex of natural underground galleries with guided tours and where every summer the classical music and dance festival takes place. Everything you need to know to visit the Nerja Cave.
Nowadays, for conservation reasons, only a few privileged performances take place inside the cave and most are held in its gardens.
The 61st Nerja Cave Music Festival will feature performances by Pablo Alborán, Israel Fernández, Víctor Manuel, Ana Mena and Rosario Flores.

Puro Latino Fest Torremolinos
Is reggaeton your thing? Then you can’t miss this macro-festival that takes place in Torremolinos in July.
If you like Latin music, reggaeton, trap and hip-hop, you have an appointment with the national and international DJs of the moment such as Bad Bunny, Daddy Yankee, Ozuna, Bad Gyal or Lil Pump, Rauw Alejandro and many more.

Marenostrum Fuengirola
The Marenostrum Festival is one of the best festivals on the coast, both for its line-up of artists and its unrivalled location just a few metres from the seashore next to the Moorish fortress Sohail.
In its last edition it was the venue chosen for the only EU stop on Jennifer Lopez’s tour and artists such as Ricky Martin, Bob Dylan, Sting, Alejandro Fernandez, Santana and Manuel Carrasco have performed there.
