Selwo Aventura in Estepona is an impressive nature and adventure park where more than 2,000 animals from over 200 species live in semi-freedom across 14 hectares. It is one of the best family days out on the Costa del Sol – perfect for a full day enjoying nature, seeing exotic animals and taking part in exciting activities.

Besides observing elephants, giraffes, lions, lynxes, bears and Nile crocodiles, the park offers adventurous experiences such as 4x4 safaris, a long zipline, hanging bridges, archery and camel rides. You can even stay overnight in themed cabins inside the park for a truly immersive experience.

How to Get to Selwo Aventura

Selwo Aventura is located on the A-7 at kilometre 162.5, around 7-8 km from the centre of Estepona. It is easy to reach by car or public transport.

Car hire

Car Hire: The Most Flexible Option

From Malaga Airport take the A-7 towards Algeciras and exit at kilometre 162.5. The park has a paid car park (€5 per day).

Especially practical when travelling with children or luggage. You will be collected from the airport or your hotel anywhere on the Costa del Sol and taken directly to the park.

Other Transport Options

By public bus: Avanza bus line L-79 stops right outside Selwo Aventura.

  • From Malaga: Take the Avanza bus (line L-309 or express) to Estepona bus station (approx. 1 hour 15 min – 1 hour 30 min). Then change to line L-79 towards Marbella, which stops directly at Selwo Aventura (10-15 minutes).
  • From Marbella or San Pedro de Alcantara: Line L-79 goes directly to Selwo Aventura. The journey from Marbella takes around 30-45 minutes.
  • From Estepona centre: Line L-79 stops at several points in Estepona and reaches Selwo Aventura in about 10 minutes.

Tip: If you are travelling with children or luggage, a local taxi from Estepona centre is often the most convenient way to complete the journey. Check current timetables on the Avanza Grupo website or in the Moovit app.
