Algarrobo, situated to the west of Velez-Malaga, is a municipality of Malaga province opposite the Mediterranean Sea, with Arab architecture, this village provides us a rich gastronomy with salads of subtropical cultivations.
Amongst its typical dishes we can highlight:
When we visit Algarrobo it’s worth visiting some of the most typical spots in the village, like the olive oil factory El Molino, where we’ll be able to purchase a big bottle of handmade olive oil at a reasonable price, as well as seeing the machinery and old photographs of the village of Algarrobo.
One of the places where we can eat in Algarrobo is the Rando restaurant, situated in the town’s old quarter, where they elaborate well presented dishes and have attentive and friendly staff for the clients.
El Pollo (the chicken) has good client reviews, which is why it’s another of the recommended places to eat in Algarrobo.
Bluerose Beach Club is located on the Algarrobo seafront and is a restaurant that’s specialised in typical dishes of the area, salads, tapas, fish and meat, and where we’ll also be able to try the famous ‘espetos’, sardines on the spit.
